****Freaky Friday Roll Call****
My mind is racing this morning, so I have been unable to sleep. I learned that I will begin receiving Social Security Disability payments in November, so I have a ton of phone calls to make, like to the school district to find out about COBRA, and resigning/retiring, etc. There are so many details to attend to. I was not expecting this news for another 6-8 weeks, so it hit me hard, but good, Thursday.
So, first and foremost, I must make a meeting. I have not been to one, though it has been a goal, since Monday. I also must make another pair of overalls for my grandson, and then organize and inventory my fabric collection, and sewing supplies and set some goals for sewing projects.
I also must make those phone calls to the school district and other places with questions galore.
I hope everyone is able to stay cool.
Hugs,
Trish

Trish, I don't envy the multitude of phone calls that need to be made now. Good luck and hope things work out for you!
Today is my one week follow-up with my doctor. Can not wait to get this JP drain out!! Yesterday was the first day it really started to bother me. So I'm ready for it to be gone. After that, I'll probably go to the gym for a 30 minute walk. I'll probrably need to go to the grocery store as well to stock up on things I can eat for Stage 2.
Yesterday I went to Trader Joe's to pick up that peanut flour I mentioned earlier this week. It smells wonderful! Can't wait to try it in a protein shake.
That's about it for me. Nothing exciting. Just continuing to take it easy, walk and sip my water.
Hope everyone has a good day.

SSD is something very difficult to get. You are blessed to have gotten it. Well, folks, hubby's car broke down last night. When it rains it pours lol. I will have to secure rides again. Oh well. He needs to get to work.
For some reason I am not getting my calls. They are going right to voicemail and I can't figure it out. Sometimes these cell phones are just wacky.
Today I have a full day at work. I am alone in the front so I can't take off.
I sure hope you all have a great day.
I went to the doctor for my shoulder yesterday.. finally. He said it is NOT my rotator cuff. He thinks it might be arthritis, but it is also partially from the weight of my breasts and my bra having to be pulled up so tight. (YAY for documentation). He was concerned about what looked like a cut underneath my breast saying that it looked like it could be the start of shingles. I think it's just a cut from the underwire in my bra, but I will keep an eye out on it to be sure it goes away. After much movement of my shoulder and offering up various meds that I can't take..ie. Lidocaine, NSAIDS, Medrol dosepak--- he said this was not a good idea with the RNY... he finally settled on a topical NSAID. He told me to test it on my arm today to be sure I don't get an allergic reaction and will then be able to put it on my shoulder and hopefully get some relief. I also went for X-rays yesterday to try to determine exactly what is going on. I told the dr that I wanted to get a breast reduction and lift and he was very supportive (lol). He documented all of my complaints and said he would write up something that included everything. YAY!!!
Anyway, enough about the dr's appt. Today is going to go sooooooo slow.. I am working til 3:30 per usual. Then, I have to get ready for my 20 YEAR HIGH SCHOOL REUNION!!!! WOOOOTTT!! I am so excited to go this year because of all of the positive changes I have made in my life. I can't wait to see everyone and show off the new me! The reunion is at Musikfest (booo) so that is playing into what I am going to wear. I think I am going to wear the dress I wore to celebrate my birthday with some comfy sandals, but I am not sure. I don't want to be overdressed, either. OYE.. The reunion is over at 10, so a bunch of us are going to hang out somewhere for karaoke. Tonight is going to be so much fun!!!
I have a busy Saturday also.. Barix in the morning and then a "toy" party at my friend's house at night. Bron will be meeting me at my friend's house after the demonstration so we can hang for the night.
Have a great Friday everyone.. Let's hope it goes fast!
Hi Trish, good luck with all the paper work and phone calls, in the end it is probably the right thing.
Today I am working a half day then I am off to Ocean City MD with GF for a beach weekend. This is a foreign concept to me, even though I grew up at the beach. I am a little nervous hope that I can hang in there and that sharing rooms wont be a big deal, See the anxiety in the therapist comes out . BUT let me say this 4 years ago I would NEVER EVER HAVE DONES THIS
I've always watched those ahead of me in the wls journey, and know that the "wow" moments get to be further between...that you can get "used to" your new body. But it's these things...the things we never would have done before...that are totally biggies! Good for you! ENJOY!!!
Well Trish, hoping your day goes as planned, left foot, right foot, breathe. . . I'm sure you've heard that along the way. . . ;)
YAY it's Friday and most of the outer offices will be at a conference today, which means that I can go into work, finish my filing project in time for the return of one of my people on Monday and then I can kind of while away the day. I will make a noon AA meeting, as there is one I attend often 3 blocks from work and it is a good one, after work if the humidity has dropped enough, I will take Miss Roxie to the dog park so she can play with her friends and then home to relax, yeah right, probably do some much needed straightening up, stuff just builds up during the work week, as I have little time for things like housework. . .
Lookng forward to tomorrow's Barix meeting, hope to see some of you there!
Have a Fabulous Friday everyone and I wish peace and strength to anyone with pressing life issues.
Hugs, Laureen

Yesterday's work at the store was harder than I imagined!! Hooking up the computer and all the printers, etc., was not easy. Had to get all the wires through 2 tiny holes in the sales counter down to the floor and the power strip. Getting up and down from the floor is not easy at my current weight! Thankfully my neighbor upstairs from the store stopped in and helped me out.
Today should be much better, the hard stuff is done. Now I have to put everything away and arrange the racks. Inspection will be done next week while I am recuperating.
Today I also have to get cardiac clearance for Monday's surgery.
Tonight hubby and I hope to get to Musikfest to see Lucky 7 in the big tent! Boogie down!
Have a wonderful day, everyone!
