Good Morning Pam & PA:
Today I have my upper GI scheduled for 10am. Nothing to drink since last night - I 'm sooo thirsty right now!
Currently I'm working on some emails from work - getting some letters typed up and emailed over to my boss so they can be faxed this morning. I sent her an email to see if she wants me to come into the office or continue to work from home. I am not looking forward to driving south on 95 that late in the day with all the construction and backups. I'll be getting to work in time to turn right around and come back home.
I think the water heater situation is fixed. Went out again yesterday so had to call the electric company out. They had to do something with the meter again so as far as I can tell I will have ho****er again today.
Mom is doing good. We went over to the Physical therapy rehab yesterday to see her. She likes the staff so it's all good at this point. She is also realizing that it takes her longer to bounce back after each surgery/joint replacement she is having. Tough thing for her to deal with.

Good luck with your test, Ida! My vote is that you don't go into the office after work---you said you'd have to turn around and come home again, so it's not worth the effort. You may want to rest after your GI anyway.

I think I'm stuck in a time warp. I'm not allowed to do anything but sit on the sofa and heal---no exercise, no housework, no cat care,...It's hard not to be able to take care of things like dishes! Paul has been awesome taking care of me. Poor man is exhausted though! He didn't sleep well last week because he was worried about my surgery, and now he worries that he won't hear me if I need something. He's been very sweet, but I want him to relax and take care of himself too! He finally told me this morning he has a toothache, so we're trying to get an appointment for him at a local dental clinic.
I think I need to take Nicole's advice and go on a family fast. I had posted about Mama Drama prior to my surgery, but I didn't know if the issue was her or my brother because he brought stuff up every time we talked. I ended up telling Mom she could come to the hospital the day after surgery, and we had a great visit. Yesterday, my other brother called me and was ranting about something that our step-father supposedly said. I got him called down but kept thinking "seriously? I'm 3 days post-op from major surgery and you're involving me in this???" So, I told the other brother later what happened, and he called our brother and yelled at him. Then I got a message on facebook pretty much writing me off for a while. Basically I come from a family of snipers who thrive on drama and all of them are perfect and can do no wrong. I'm going to lay low from my brothers for a while. We'll go to Mom's this week---I've asked her to take off my steri-strips (yeah, I can't look at my incision just yet! lol); her neighbors want to see me; and I think I'll fill Mom in on what her sons are up to. It's so sad we can't pick our family the same way we can pick our friends.

It's been a busy day already, what with dropping off Eddie's car for inspection, taking him home, THEN going to the gym and getting my workout and getting to work ON TIME. Miraculously I got here!
I've got a ton of stuff on tap all day, followed by going to Barix to see Steffi, running home to do an online training webinar at 6 (which I had forgotten about) and a Board meeting conference call at 7. Maybe dinner at some point in there - haha! Thankfully, I have some scallops in and they taken next to NO time to pan sear!
I've "delegated" Becky to get her father to and from work today and to pick his car up, because it's just not gonna happen otherwise. She complains, I explain it's her "rent" payment. She shuts up quickly. Haha.
I hope you all have a wonderful day and that you can enjoy this gorgeous weather while it lasts!

Back to my routine after 2 weeks of vacation mayhem. All good mayhem though!
Mexico was wonderful with great friends. Dennis & I opted to relax more then run alot while at Mexico. It was good the pictures have been up on Facebook. The night before we left we were in NYC to see Natalie Merchant.
Once home I went to work for 2 and half days then we headed away for another few days to Atlantic City. We had a blast we walked the boardwalk which Den had not done in over 20 years. Then we did a comedy show another night, We laid by 'The Pool" at Harrah's we laid there listening to a thunder and lighting storm it was freaky yet amazing. We also did some outlet shopping before we headed home.
This past weekend we went to see the Soul Cruisers on Friday night then Saturday we saw Brooks & Dunn's Last Rodeo tour. Sunday we had a group of friends over for support then Den & I headed out to see Tom Petty last night. I think Den needed to go back to work so I would stop plannng stuff for us to do. Life is short and I am going to get the best out of every minute.
This weekend on Wednesday I am leaving work early to meet Den in NYC to see yet another show. But tonight after work I must get my nails done then do food shopping!

So after sitting around waiting for months, I am FINALLY getting the keys to the store today at noon!! That means MOVING all this stuff out of my house to the store this week, and getting it all set up before surgery next Monday!!
When it rains it pours!!
