***Magical Monday Roll Call***

Hi!

Ok...so I got a really really good amount of solid sleep today (Sunday) after not sleeping well for quite a few days.  I also was luckily enough able to have a very good heart to heart kick in the ass conversation with my BFF on Saturday which helped to get some of my rambling thoughts in my head in order.  Those two things made me wake up Sunday evening feeling better than I have in QUITE a number of days.

Then I had a 4 hour princess shift at Sacred Heart...and OMG...now that I'm done I can SAFELY say it....that it was freaking EASY.  Luck of the draw, and I'm thrilled!  I really really don't mind working...but sometimes an awesome night where you don't work to entirely hard is a good thing, too.

I'm seriously trying convince myself I'm tired...which isn't working all that well right now, lol.  Chilling with some TV and then hopefully in bed by 0030.  Trainer appointment @ 0830.  The game plan is to be there no later than 8 for some warm up.  Trainer 8:30-0900 and then I might stay for the 60 min spin class

After that....just kinda prepping for work tonight @ LVH and hanging out at home.

Oh - and soooooo waiting to hear about Steffi!!!  I've said it before...I'll say it again....CONGRATULATIONS and God Speed!!!

ETA:  Oh - after the gym I MUST go into Allentown.  I realized last night that I am out of parking passes for Sacred Heart and can only do that between 7:30-1530 in Center City.  AND I have to check on some prescriptions at LVH CC which I want to do prior to work tonight. So, I'll be going to BOTH of my places of employment during daylight hours.  Weird.

Good Morning Pam,
I think my body is on your schedule...I was unable to sleep Saturday night and slept most of Sunday afternoon.  Glad you had a good Princess shift...If I remember correctly, you had one that was rather easy before there.

Monday has me scrambling to finish my daughter's cookbook I am making.  I have been cutting out magazine recipes and recipes off of food boxes for about a year, and am putting them on printer paper, and putting them in plastic sheet protectors and organizing them and putting them in a binder as a birthday present for her.  Her birthday was July 25th, and I will be seeing her in two weeks.  Then, I must get to work on sewing some pants for my Lincoln, who turned one on Sunday, as we will be having a birthday  party for him when I see the gang in Minnesota in two weeks.  All of this will be after I hit an AA meeting and the gym for a swim first thing in the morning.

Hope everyone has a safe and healthy Monday.

Hugs,
Trish

Yep, you're right Trish.  Traditionally, Sacred Heart is a MUCH slower pace than LVH so MOST of my shifts are "easy" in comparison to what I do on a normal basis.  Last night was even slow for them, though, so it was even easier than normal.  It's a nice break in routine.  I couldn't do it full time....I like to be busier than that on a 'normal' basis.  But...change can be good!

Good morning all,

It's 2:45 and I'm awake simply because I think I slept on my one side too long and now my should/neck hurts again.  Took some pain meds, just waiting for it to kick in then I'm going back to bed.

Once I do get up, I'll be taking a walk around the block to see if I can work out the gas in my shoulder/neck.  Yesterday I did really well.  Took a nap in the am and pm.  Had my first bm, all by myself too!! No medication help needed! My husband said I was acting like a 4 year old that just figured out how to poop in the potty!  I told him it was a big deal and it was a small cause for celebration, right?!

Today will probably consist of the same as yesterday. Nap in the am and pm.  Walking in between and just chillin.

Hope everyone has a good day.  GO STEFFI!!

Hey Cyd,
You go girl...the bathroom stuff is huge, and it's okay to celebrate.  Believe me, not being able to go, and having to take the stool softeners is such a hassle, and you don't need that right now.  Keep up the great work of walking and sipping your liquids.  Try also to do arm rotations, gently, to work out that gas as well...lifting your arm above your head, and making arm circles might help...gently and slowly.

Keep up the great work.

Hugs,
Trish

Thanks Trish,
I have been doing the arem circles, when I remember. I will be doing more of them today.  Probably a few more walks as well.

Are you kidding me!  3 years out and I STILL celebrate BM's.  Ever since surgery I've had some issues in that department.

Funny your husband refers to you as a 4 year old...because MINE refers to me as an 84 year old...who all they can talk about sometimes is their BM, lack there of, or celebration there of.  Oh, soooo true!

And hey, from people who get it...CONGRATS! lol

Shoot!!  I'm celebrating right along with you!!!  I had surgery last Thursday and totally expected issued in the bathroom.  So far, so good!  My family sort of gets it, but my OH family really gets it!  Celebrate away, Cyd---it's worth a party!!!!

Good morning PA!

Today is a half day then heading over to the hospital to check on their CNA training.  I'm not sure if it's for me but we shall see.  Still no word on the Residential Worker job.

Found out I need another medical evaluation so I am heading out to Baltimore in a couple of weeks.

Gotta get back on track in a lot of things in my life.  Sigh...

Clueless about weight loss and weight loss surgery of any kind.

Good morning everyone!  I am up and just a little anxious - more becuase I still have the sore throat - although it is getting better, and now I have added sinus pressure - oh joy!  My anxiety is that surgery will NOT happen due to that - I am actually READY for this to get going!  As someone who understands me all to well said yesterday - I am mentally ready and don't want to have to go through that again!

So my day will HOPEFULLY go like this.  Finish the bills, maybe fall back to sleep for a little - yeah right - and then head to Barix.  I am scheduled to be there at 10:15.  surgery is scheduled for about 12:30 ish and I was told it was about a 4 hour procedure.  Larry will be calling Lisa with updates as he gets them and she will be posting.

Thank you all for the support, good wishes and luck!  I know it is just "What we do" but as we all know - it is how we get through the challenging times!  As I have said before - the surgery was amazing and changed my life physically - but it is all of you who made me who I am today - and NO...I don't mean more obnoxious and loud - THAT was my mom! :)

Thanks again - and I hope you all have a MAGICAL MONDAY! :)
