Good Moning.

Happy Birthday Lincoln!! Trish, can you maybe swing a trip out to see them? Maybe that would brighten your spirits a bit?

One of my cousins is headed out to Penn State (main campus) for college in a few weeks and she requested a girls night sleepover at my Mom's. So sometime this afternoon Mia and I will head over to Mom's with the girls to spend the night. We'll come home some time tomorrow. Chris and Brian will be working to fix some gaping hole in our foundation today so I think it's best that I am as far away as possible!!! lol

Hi Liz,
I am going to see the Munchkins in two weeks, in Minnesota at a house my sis-in-law rented for all of us to go to the Mall of America.  We are going to have a Reilly Family First Birthday for Lincoln there.  I have been working on projects for him and my daughter, whose birthday was last week.

Have fun at your sleepover.

Hugs,
Trish

Liz,

If you want to give your cousin Katie's contact info for Penn State as a "safety net" that would be fine... Katie's been there long enough now to know the ropes and I'm sure would be happy to be a contact for her.   If you want to do that, just let me know and i'll get you all of Katie's info.

Trish,

I'm so proud of you.  Here you are having problems, unable to contact your sponsor or backups (and I completely agree with your frustration!)... and what has your response been?  You've gotten yourself to meetings, kept yourself on track, posted here, and made a great decision about not going to W-B.  Your inner strength is holding.  Good for you.  No "lumpiness" about it.

Enjoy Sunday... I hope you get to Skype with the little guy ;-).

Everyone, I hope you have a wonderful day today.

Thanks Karen,
I did not see my struggling in a positive light until I read your post.  I am staying sober, and working my program.

Thanks,
Trish

Happy Sunday PA!
Today I take Caleb to camp...again.  This one lasts until Friday.  It is to help him with his social skills.  he is 11 going on 50 and has trouble with kid's his own age.  He is good with younger and older...but his own age- forget it.  I hope it helps him out.  Later today will be some kind of exercise...maybe walking.

Good morning all - sorry to hear about your troubles, Trish - sending many hugs and prayers your way

We've had a busy weekend - my sister and b-i-l arrived on Friday nite and we had a full house. Yesterday we spent the day at a friends house lazing around the pool and having a wonderful time. Today we're all pretty tired and they're leaving to go back to Florida this afternoon. I see a nap in my future.

So not much else on my agenda today. Just some rest & relaxation.

Well - good afternoon PA,

Trish, I certainly hope that your sponsors become more responsive.  My dad was a sponsor (he has been sober for ~ 25 years) and while I know that at times he would need a break, he would always make sure that there was an avenue available.   We are always available for you here when they don't answer.

Steffi - Your surgery will go smoothly, I am certain of that - you are in the best hands at Barix.  I was planning to stop in and visit you tomorrow after work, but I have to go to a wake for my best friends brother in law.  He lost his battle with cancer on Thursday morning.

Eric - How sweet of you to cook meals for Steffi!  So sweet.

Julia - am hoping that you recovery is speeding along!

Today Mark and I are playing "catch up on our lives".  Doing some invoicing for the business, paying bills, cleaning and laundry - oohh - how exciting!  We are also planning to do some cooking for the week and to pack up the bikes and take a ride along the canal later in the day.

Really enjoyed the weekend - Brunch yesterday was great and American Idiot was a great show - a bit of an acid trip to follow at times, but since I LOVE Green Day, I thoroughly enjoyed it.  We also had a great time catching up with friends from Jersey City that we haven't seen in a long time and we hung out at the Ginger Man for ~ 5 hours just laughing, laughing and laughing some more - good for the soul!

Well, I better get focused on doing the things we want to get done today before the full day gets past me..

xoxo,

Maura
