Morning PA!

Well one job down, one more to go!  Finished my 10 hour shift at the County and starting a 6 hour medic shift right now.  Technically, I had an hour off between jobs, so I have nothing to complain about!  I'm working till 7am and then home to bed.  We are leaving for a family picnic in Honesdale, PA at 11:00-11:30am.  We'll probably spend most of the day there and then be home after dinner sometime.  Tomorrow night I am working this same stupid 1am to 7am shift.  Gotta pay for those plastics somehow!

With any luck, I can drum up some work for everyone's favorite ER nurse.  Time will tell, but I am pulling for a busy night to make it go by quickly!  Hope everyone has a great Saturday, mine certainly will be sleepy!

Isn't it freaking SUNDAY yet?  C'mon..it's GOTTA be, right?

Well thus far, me and my staff thank you - it does not appear you have drummed up a significant amount of business for us.  And, I might add, I kept my death magnet on low earlier in the night so I did NOT drum up business for LCCO...so it's fair.

After here is the gym for a long gym day.  8:15-9:15 is spin class and then I'm gonna do a full body weight routine, and abs....

Hoping to be home by about 10:15....have some stuff to do around the house, the number one priority is the litter boxes.

Hopefully a nap in the early afternoon...and then possibly a visit from the monster in laws.  Put one in the chamber for me, please.  Or at least bring me a cup of the special kool aide.

And that's about it.......here's one sleepy saturday cheers from me to you!

Well Pam, I met the most delightful young fella here in the streets of our fair city just a bit ago.  I tried to convince him that a trip to your ER might be in his best interest, but the assh...err, I mean, nice, young, respectful and likely gainfully employed young man exercised his right to refuse our services.  You ladies would have LOVED him!  I still have 2 hours and 15 minutes to find you some work.  Actually it has been a really boring night for us.  The cops are running their butts off, but we have been surprisingly bored.  Oh well, I'm sure I will pay for it tomorrow night!

"delightful young fella...likely gainfully employed...." uh yea....I may be slow on the uptake but I did NOT take the short bus to school thank you very much.  And that delightful young man was VERY smart in exercising his right to refuse your services...cause this jersey girl does NOT do well with specimens such as those.....

So, you paying for it yet???  Feel free to go to the heart OR CC as many times as you'd like tonight - I'm sitting in the comfort of my very own house tonight!

Yeah, we paid for it.  Well not so much us, as the other truck.  Stabbing, GSW.... we, however, got all the stupid stuff and there was plenty.  Ironically though...not one trip for us to the Heart or CC.

Morning all!!
I'm up early after about 4 hours of sleep. That's longer than the morphine-hazed sleep I got at any one time in the hospital! I couldn't get comfortable in bed, so I tried sleeping in the recliner. Now I'm propped in a corner of the couch and will likely sleep this way tonight. My other big challenge is keeping my cats off of me! They weigh about 15 and 16 lbs and could do some damage to my gut/incision. I'm feeling pretty good, except when I first get up and am doing "the C section walk." I know each day will get better and that before long I'll feel fantastic.
I'd like to go out for a little walk today (not as exercise even though I gained 6 lbs overnight in the hospital!) Maybe check out some local yard sales. Overall, though, I plan to take it easy today.
Have a great day everyone!!!

Don't worry about the weight - it's all the fluids they pumped you up with in the hospital. They will come off over the next few days. Just like after RNY walk walk walk, sip sip sip and you'll be back to feeling great in no time! After my GB surgery I kept a pillow on my belly to ward off the cats a bit, it at least saved me from sneak attacks.

Good Morning!

I've said it before, and I'll say it again -sorry guys but the rest of the world likes when you and Pam are slow! It means everyone is healthy and OK (and in Eric's case - ALIVE!)

WE were up bright and early this morning at 5am because Mia wanted a bottle, she did let me  go back to bed for an hour afterward and got up at 6:30 for the day. SHe's now talking to her favorite "friend" the ceiling fan. Today we are going to my Grandparents to hang out by the pool and celebrate everyone's birthday (4 in all between 7/21 and 8/1 - My Grandfather, Aunt, Dad and Grandmother). SO this morning is prepping the food I am bringing, I have to smooth out the frosting on the cake, pick lots of tomatoes to make a tomato / mozzarella / basil platter and make the stuffed tomatoes. Then Mia and I will head out around 11. Chris is going to Dublin to get his tattoo finished then coming home to prep for fixing the foundation in the new part of the basement tomorrow.

That's so funny about Mia's favorite friend!!! Makes me chuckle to picture it!! (No belly laughs yet---hurts too much! LOL)
I did the pillow trick to ward off the cats after my RNY and am using it again. I get the impression though that they think it's for their comfort!!! Goes along with the saying that dogs have owners while cats have staff!

Good morning Eric and everyone - I am with Liz on this one - you and Pam might be bored - but it is actually a GOOD thing when you don't have to deal with the sickies!

Got in from Camp about 12:30 this morning, went right to bed - although I did sleep about 95% of the drive home - Larry stated, "Wow - you really had a stressful drive home didn't you?"  Funny guy!  Had such a GREAT day shopping with my friend and spending the entire day with her and her hubby and me and Larry.  Prior to the sleeping in the car - Larry very meloncholy said, "I always forget how much fun we have with them."  It makes me sad that they are sooo far away.  The good news is that we will see them again tomorrow at camp.

Today I am supposed to be going with Larry and the girls to the shore for the day.  It is about 8AM and if I can get to the market in the next 30 minutes or so - I might join them, but I have too much to do around the house before surgery on Monday.  So that is still up in the air.  But I WILL be headed BACK to camp tomorrow!  YAY!  That will be in until pick-up day in three weeks - if I am up for it!

I hope you all have a GREAT Saturday and enjoy the pretty skies!
