According to FB, it's Maura's 40th birthday today.  Happy Birthday Maura!!!!

Working for the next hour and then home to bed.  I have a doctor's appointment in the morning at 8:30am.  Plastics consult.  Freaking out.

After that, might check out some more bike stuff and then going to work at 2pm.  I work till midnight and then to the City for a 6 hour medic shift.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Good Morning Eric and PA.

Happy Birthday Maura.  Hope you have an awesome birthday.

Friday sees me sleeping late, because I am up late waiting for my sheets to dry, because I forgot to put them in the dryer.  Then, to the gym.  I also have to finish the alphabet train I am making for my grandson's first birthday.  It is his name, and the letters connect by magnets.  They are wooden, and I am painting them alternating red and blue, to go with his nursery colors.  The wheels are white.  After that, I must finish the cookbook I am making for my daughter.  I collected recipes from magazines and packages of various foods for the past year.  I am putting them on printer paper, and into plastic sheet protectors, and then into a binder.  In the evening, I have my AA meeting.  I get my 6 month chip at this meeting.

Hugs,
Trish

Good morning, PA!!

Eric---Plastics!!  Exciting!!!

Maura---Happy birthday!!!

Trish---Congrats on your 6 month chip!!!

I'm still in the hospital and not sure what I'm doing awake at this hour.  I slept off and on all day after my surgery and turned in early.  I woke up when the alarm on my IV went off.  Thought it was around 6am, but noooooo----it was 1:15.  Oh joy.  Anyway, I'm feeling pretty good.  Some pain, but I just keep using my morphine pump.    The fibroids were apparently larger than they had thought.  I haven't talked to the doc yet, so I don't have any other info.  Paul has been wonderful during all this----very sweet and supportive.

Think I need to go back to sleep.....

Have a great day, OH!!!!

ETA: I've been feeling sooo much better since the morphine was stopped!  The doc was in early and was surprised at how good I looked.  If I can tolerate lunch, which I'm having now, I'll be going home this afternoon.  And I was really shocked at what I learned---thought I had 2 large fibroids, but there were actually 4 large ones, and I had endometriosis, which really shocked me!   I know I'll be feeling a whole lot better!!!

Thanks, Kathy!!!  The morning started out rough (nausea, headache, couldn't keep my eyes open), but it seems to be getting better.  I'm having my breakfast---rubbery scrambled eggs without salt or pepper, and some jello.  The nurse told me a little while ago that I may be going home today.  (Giving up on the eggs---they're not going down too well.)

Sounds like you have a fun weekend ahead!!!  Enjoy!!!

Sorry you're not feeling well - could be the morphine if they still have you on it - morphine and I do NOT get along well at all - I get deathly sick from it. And I have a hard time with eggs now so stick to the jello - be kind to your tummy - LOL!! Here's hoping you get home today - you'll get much better rest there. Take care and keep us updated on how you're doing. Kathy

I'm with you---I think it was the morphine.  I've never had a problem with it before, but there's always a first time.  I think that's why I couldn't keep my eyes open since yesterday afternoon.  I've been able to eat eggs, but these were just nasty.   lol  Paul is bringing me some yogurt in a little while, and Mom is bringing me egg custards.  (Loved those since I was a kid, so I'm looking forward to the treat!!)  I'll keep you updated!   Thanks!!!

Thank you Julia!  I am so happy to see you posting already!  Am glad you are feeling ok and even happier that you are happy with your choice of just having Paul by your side - sounds like it is working out :)  I had an open procedure to for fibroid removal and a salpingectomy in 07 - I know all about faulty plumbing!  Be well, rest and looking forward to seeing you at the August cooking class?
