I have officially been accepted to GRAD SCHOOL!

I received my official notification about 15 minutes ago!!!!!
I will be starting on September 28th....
I am so excited and yet apprehensive at the same time.
I do know if I had not had this surgery 10 months ago, I would never have applied or even started thinking I might have a shot at senior management positions....

Such an exciting day for you Ida! And so amazing that your weight loss contributed to this important step!

Yes WLS has contributed emensily to my confidence.  As I gained weight I wanted to hide, I was so embarassed at what I could not control.  The worst was when I had to engage in public speaking for me.  Now I am fine with it again.  In the past I was very comfortable in front of an audience, after the weight gain I prefered the back of the room.
Now that Gene is preaching again I look forward to those Sundays because I take on the very much public role of the worship leader.  Gene was shocked when he said to me I'll preach if you take the worship leader role while our pastor is on vacation, without hesitation I said of course I will.  He just looked at me shocked because he knew I prefered to say out of the public eye. 
Sorry for the rambling, but YES WLS has brought me out of my self inflicted hiding....

BIG Congratulations to you, IDA!!!!  That's awesome.  Good for you for letting yourself push past your old boundaries and to redefine yourself.  You have no limits other than those you put on yourself.

Thank you Karen.  Actually these boundaries I put around myself where put there as I gained weight in the last 6 or so years.  I feel as if a weight ( no pun intended) has been lifted and the sky is the limit for me again....
