***Thursday Muscles***

Got my a$$ back into the gym today.  Hadn't done anything since Friday's rollerblading incident. 

I thought my appt was at 7am so I got there at 06:35 and did 25 min hard warm up on the treadmill.  Got to the trainer desk...found out my appt wasn't until 7:30...so I did an additional 25 mins on the treadmill.  Sweat literally pouring off me, it felt SOOO good.  Minimum of 3.5mph with intervals of 4.2 jogging, all at a 4.5-5.0% incline.

30 mins of absolute training hell (I use that term VERY affectionately I might add) with the trainer for a full body, except for abs, weight work out.  Literally shaking by the end.

Felt soooo good!  I told him it had been a week since anything...and his response "Seven days without exercise makes one weak"  True true true!
Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

Awesome workout Pam! I did a 10 mile bike ride and now I am stretching. PT later this afternoon.

Ok - now i feel like a total slacker.   Didn't get to the gym yesterday.  Planned to get there this morning but woke up with a total stomach ache from something I ate last night... so slept in and didn't go.  I WILL go tomorrow, though.  Sigh.

Sounds like a wonderful workout!

Slacker?  Hellooooo, did you NOT notice the fact that I hadn't done ANYTHING since LAST Friday??

Sorry to hear about the tummy troubles...feel better!!  Good move on not going, btw, today.  You need to take care of yourself completely in order to have an effective work out and long term successing.  But you already know that.

I went to yoga last night when I got home.. it felt really good and I stayed after a bit to talk to another woman in the class.  She told me that she was also an instructor and was very impressed with my strength and flexibility.  We had a great discussion which led to including the instructor of this class.  I am now bound and determined to build up my upper body strength to near what my lower body strength is so I can do more of the strong poses.  

Tonight will depend on the dinner plans.  I think I may head over to the pool immediately after work and at least do some water walking.  I'm still nursing my sore shoulder, so I don't want to injure it more.  I was careful during yoga last night, too.  

If the dinner plans do not pan out, I will go to the gym.. zumba was cancelled for the night b/c the instructor is on vacation.  They are having a boot camp class in its place.  After that, I will do pilates.

Tuesdays & Thursdays I work out with a trainer at work during my afternoon lunch break.  She will no doubt push me...she always does & I love her for it.  Then I am planning on walking 2.5-3.5 miles with my best friend.
