OMG opportunity!
SO, by now most of you know how much I love to go to karaoke and sing. I've always wanted to sing with some kind of a band, but never had the opportunity and quite frankly don't think I could have mustered up the courage to do anything like that.
Well, a friend of mine from synagogue asked me a few weeks ago if I would consider singing as a guest with his jazz quartet. They have gigs just about once a month at a local place. I have not had the opportunity to hear them perform due to babysitting and other various issues that come up. I told him I would probably be able to do it while Siehara was at camp. Well guess what.!! Siehara is at camp and they have a gig Saturday night!!
I gave him 3 songs that I know well and should go along with the type of music they would be playing. I am going to SING WITH A GROUP! LIVE! with no words on the screen!!! I am bringing a paper with lyrics, though, as I really don't want to make a fool out of myself if I forget the lyrics. (I am a karaoke queen, after all, and the words are always there "just in case")

This Saturday night, July 24th from 6 pm - 9pm, Gary Lader and Angela Mosley are back at The Weaversville Inn. Weather permitting this will be a night of Jazz Under The Stars. Last year it was an amazing evening. If you're like me and you like to be outdoors enjoying good food and drink and great music, you'll love this event!
