TGIT - Thank God it's Thursday Roll Call
Morning, folks!
Maura - I just have to say that you looked absolutely FA .BU. LOUS in that dress last night. Definitely a style that suits you and you should wear more often. Rock it, girl!!!
Today's my "friday" as we're on summer hours (thank heavens!!!). So it's a busy day at work followed by pedicures with Katie (as part of her birthday celebration), then grocery shopping for her party this weekend. Tomorrow will be the gym, then frantic cooking all day to get ready for the party... oh, and of course CLEANING. Apparently there are several of her friends sleeping over (as there will be drinking at the party - it is, after all, a 21st b'day), so i'll need to figure out where they will pile up and make sure I have adequate breakfast foods in for them, too.... hmmm.... should be fun!
It was great seeing so many of you at Barix last night!

I was a zombie till 8;30, when my sister called. I had a 9:15 appointment with the pain specialist, and I swear if she had not called, I would still be in bed. I was at the ER late last night getting a Benadryl and Toridol shot for the extreme pain I have had in my butt and back. Slept like a lamb. Today, I saw the pain doc and he said it now my sciatica, and gave me a cortisone shot in my butt. He offered me Percoset for the pain, and I was so tempted to say, "Gimme, gimme." But, I was a good girl and said I could not have that. I did get some non-narcotic scripts.
Today has me resting with ice, and being a blob again.

Yup that benadryl IM will do it to you every time. As soon as you said pain in your butt and your back I immediately thought "oooh, sciatica?!" Toradol does work well for that type of pain, as does the cortisone.
Good for you for sticking to your guns, not an easy thing to do. 90 in 90, right?!

Do you ER nurses use spikes instead of needles to give that Benadryl and Toradol?
As for the 90 in 90, it fell by the wayside when I was at Caledonia State Park. The closest meetings had smoking. Asthma can't handle that. I have to start over, once I get my back settled. I do have my Friday meeting, so I will see how I feel then.

It is a beautiful sunny day here. I rode the bike to work and it felt fantastic. It has been so rainy that I haven't riden since Saturday. Tonight we have dentist appts then we are getting Caleb a cell phone. After that I will most likely walk with my best friend. No exciting , but at least there is no rain.
