One lb/LVH support group/tummy tuck
I had a lot to put in a post! LOL
I have one pound to go until my goal. I am hoping to hit it by next Wednesday because at the LVH support group I am going to be speaking. I did not mean to volunteer on the month that the gastric bypass people will be in the auditorium, but I did. ACK!
So- what would you have liked someone who is 14 months out and pretty much done losing tell you when you were pre-op? And newly post op? I have a big word document of things but wwanted to get some opinions of points I should not miss.
And last. Anyone had their tummy done after surgery? Mine does not "hang" and I do not have a real apron so would I qualify? I have some low back pain and wonder if it could be from the skin on the tummy? When I sit down I have a skin roll. Should I just start going to the Dr to document complaints?
Thanks for the help!!

Congratulations on being so close to goal! That's awesome!!
I think I'd tell them not to get discouraged when they hit stalls, because they do happen - rejoice in the initial weight loss that occurs but realize that you to have to work the tool to achieve your goals. It's a journey, not a destination. And SUPPORT, SUPPORT, SUPPORT - it is so important to all of us. I'm 2 1/2 years out and don't really remember everything I heard at support meetings but I think some of those points are key to newbies.
No PS for me - yet. If anything I'll get my thighs done someday.
Best of luck to you next week - you're going to do just fine!!

Hi Sandra!
I plan to be there next week, as I am scheduled for my RNY with Dr. Boorse on August 9th. I guess I would like to hear about your experience in the hospital, LVH especially, and your initial recovery. What did you eat? What gave you problems? What should I do ahead of time?
Don't worry you will be great!
THANKS for doing this,
Deb
