***Silly Sunday Roll Call**
Good Morning Pam and PA Board!
Sorry to hear that you are in pain, Pam. Neck injuries are so painful! Rest and get better soon.
Today, I was going to some paperwork, but I realized I took the WRONG papers home with me, so that plan went out the window
So, I am going to do laundry, straighten up the house, and then some Wii time with Dee!!
Have a great Sunday and stay cool!!!!

Hi Pam, PA,
Sorry to hear you are in pain and please take care, I was in a car accident many years ago and have c-spine injury that in the past couple of months has gotten to be a real pain in the neck, figuratively as well as for real. Hope you feel better, but take time and let it heal before doing anything overmuch that will make it worse years from now. . . trust me, I didn't and obviously now I am paying the price. ..
Well I got back from Mooresville, NC at 8:15 last night, what should have been an 8 to 9 hour trip wound up being 12 thanks to the Capital Beltway (DC highway), which I should not have taken, but thought it would not be a big issue on a Saturday afternoon, it took one and a half hours to go just over 1/2 mile because some wonderful department of traffic wonder planned some minor road work, that took out 2 of 3 lanes on a highway that has 8 lanes feeding into it. . . and there was an accident on the other road, I should have gone home via 77/81/76 like I did going down, but who knew, oh well, I will NEVER take the Capital Beltway again. . . the funeral services for my uncle were nice, my cousin's husband did his euology and at the end he used the words to a Bruce Springsteen song, written for Bruce's longtime personal assistant Terry McCormack who died in 2007, the words were very appropriate, as my uncle was a one of a kind human being, he will be missed by us, but we are sure he had a wonderful welcome home party when he got to the next place after this earthly place we all share.
Needless to say I was beat last night, but the Roxie girl was happy to see me and I took her for a walk, then watched one episode of Y&R that I dvr'd and then went to sleep, woke up to Roxie's cold wet nose and got up to give her petting time and then picked some zucchini from my garden, cooked it up for an Omlet I made us, Tony was coming down for breakfast and then after he got here and we ate, we took Roxie to the dog park and just walked in the shade for 45 minutes to get her what she needed in the way of activity.
The rest of this day is about relaxing and getting myself ready for the work week. . .
Hope you all have a great day.
Hugs, Laureen

So it's 5:25 Pm and I'm just posting roll call. No that doesn't mean I've been so busy that I didn't have time to post. It just means that I've been lazy today for a change. We picked up Sarah and David and family from the airport around noon and hung out there for a bit. Now we r at bron's house being lazy here. Loving the down time for a change. When we get home I have to make sure all of Siehara's clothes are clean and labeled so we can get them packed. She leaves wednesday for a month. The way she is acting right now reminds me how much of a break we both need. I'll miss her but the break is definitely needed. That's all for me.
Hello, PA Friends!
Pam, I'm so sorry you're in such pain - i hope you have an easy time of it at work the next couple of nights. No lugging patients around until you're fully healed, ok???? Heat, massage, stretching, chiropractic.... do whatever you need! Neck injuries are potentially long-term annoying.
Today was good... got up and got to the gym (AFTER running 3 other errands) for an hour of zumba. the Sunday instructor on alternate sundays (today's) does a really intensive workout zumba rather than a dance-focused one, so it was a great workout, especially after a week "off" from formal workouts. Then got to Wegmans and did a long-needed grocery shopping trip that was a workout in itself - haha!
Then finished a couple of jewelry pieces that had been sitting on my workbench for WAY too long, got my stuff organized for the week's meals, everything unpacked and organized from the trip, and am now sitting down to pay bills and do that type of thing. Whew. busy but good productive day!
Not really looking forward to going back to work tomorrow, but oh well - it's been a great vacation!
Hope you all have a wonderful week.

So, today I am pooped, absolutely, completely and totally pooped out! We got to the hotel yesterday at 2ish, then went to work out in the gym, then got ready for the wedding and we were hanging, sweating, dancing, sweating, laughing, sweating and sweating from 5 til 2am! Great time, great people. There's a wow or two packed in, so there will be a separate post on that.. and a few pics!
We woke today to the fire alarm going off in the hotel - after only 5 hrs sleep.. not a good way to start the day.. then to brunch, then to the trader joes, marshalls, whole foods and the drug store (CVS Langhorne has B1G1 on vitamins this week by the way.. saved like $30)
am vegging, going through the mail from the past few days - Mark is making fruit salad - we are having grilled curried chicken, grilled veggies and raita for dinner.. mmmmm
Going to bed early, NOT looking forward to work tomorrow.. UGH.
Have a great evening my PA darlings,
Maura
