Finally Friday Roll Call

Am I allowed to start roll call before midnight the day before?  Well, Hell yeah, I think so.. why not.  I only tagged on to the Thursday roll call 2 minutes ago, so I thought, if I don't get time in the am.. I'll do it now!

So happy it is Friday, SO, SO, SO happy it is Friday.  Countdown to the end of my current project 1 month - Thank god for that!!  Say a little prayer that I don't go off and get myself fired.. I want to stay contracting with the company, just want to get the hell away from my client PM.

Will miss cooking class this weekend :(  Am looking forward to the wedding that I will be at on Boathouse row though!   Everyone have something super yummy for me!

Well - time to head to bed so that our two cats can do their typical routine and circle around on the bed, walk over me, lay on me, get up and walk on me some more, nudge me to pet them and then finally ~ 15 min later, settle in for the night.. why don't they do that to my husband????

Well - have a great day PA..
Love ya!

Maura

HI Maura,
I am just winding down from the Trenton Thunder game tonight.  We sold over 900 50/50 tickets for Special Olympics and the winner was a coach of ours who donated his winnings back to Special Olympics.  What a nice guy.  We sold 300 tickets to the game as a fundraiser, and they were to athletes' families and friends.  Fun night.

Friday...has me saying good-bye to technology, except for my cell phone, for the weekend.  My Mom's boyfriend, yes she has a boyfriend at 83 years old, rented a cabin at Caledonia State Park, so I am going there for the weekend.  I will swim, hike shop at Hobby Lobby, swim some more, hike a little more, and probably go back to Hobby Lobby.  Oh, I will make some AA meetings.  I got 6 months of sobriety on Thursday.

Gotta finish packing and hit the bed.

Hugs,
Trish

Hey Maura - I think you can do ANYTHING that you want to do - so there - especially when you are dealing with such a horrific woman at work!

Anyway - I am back from a GREAT evening with Pammy.  So freaking much fun!  Love shopping with someone who totally gets it and can make me laugh and feel damn good about myself at the same time....AND...she wouldn't let the sales person go and get me a bigger size of a sweater....I bought the Small and Pam was right....it DID fit well! :)  And.....and this is sooo freaking funny....Pammy and I were at dinner, she was talking to Brian on the phone and a waiter came over to our table, not our waiter, someone else, and said to me, "Hi, you look familiar - I have served you before right?"  My response was, well, only if you were a waiter in Philadelphia as that is where I am from."  Needless to say - he was NOT from the restaurant in Philadelphia, so he then said, "well, you still look familar, what is your last name?"  I told him and he said some VERY italian last name, so I responded with, "well, it is NOT from the synagogue!"  He liked that answer and said, "that was a good one."  (I knew it was btw!)  So I turned to Pam who was still on the phone and she just kept talking to Brian and said, "Steffi just got hit on by a very young waiter."   I was highly entertained - AND....if Pam hadn't said anything I would have NEVER even considered that a possibilty - after all, I AM pretty shy when it comes to talking with complete strangers......  So - needless to say - my ego grew a little and the very cute, 26 year old waiter - yes I asked! - kept coming over to talk with us and even when he went back to work kept looking over at the table!  Pam even got a picture of the man - hopefully she will post it! - we all know how I suck at that!

So - once I go to sleep - then wake up - it is just a morning with the little people.  Shabbat things, crafts, songs and dance to get ready for Shabbat.   This afternoon will hopefully find me lounging by the pool before Shabbat services tonight.  Then with any luck, after a GREAT Shabbat dinner, song session and dancing, hanging out with Larry and the Health Center staff for some Shabbat coctails!

I hooe you all have a GREAT Friday and an even better weekend! :)

Mornin Steffi,

I've meaning to ask where the camp is at in the Poconos?  My in-laws live very close to two camps. One of which is pretty close as we can hear whistles being blown and lots of kids having a good time.

Hi Cyd - The camp I am at is in Kunkletown.  However, the camp I grew up in is in Bartonsville, and is down the street from a second camp.  Where are your in-laws?

The in-laws are in Canadensis.  I know one of the camps is called Camp Canadensis but I don't remember the name of the other one.

We drive right thru Bartonsville when we go up there.  It's really changed a lot in the last year!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Hi all,

Today is a full work day.  I am a happy camper!  My support group is growing!  That makes me totally totally happy!  Do you know what is hard? Admitting to your support group that you are struggling with issues.  I know it is silly to feel this way since we  ALL need support.

Have a great day all!

Good morning Maura & PA.

I had every intension of getting up early this morning to go to the gym but I forgot to set the alarm before I hit the pillow and slept way too late for me to go this morning.  So I'll be going tonight afterwork.  It shouldn't be too crouded on a Friday evening.  Today is just the usual work schedule 8-5.  I had every intention of going to the cooking class tomorrow to meet all of you lovely people but my husband decided we need to clear up out guest room really good this weekend and paint it!  UGH!!!  I will definetely be going next month.  Today I am on day 3 of my pre-op.  I think I am doing surprisingly well.  One shake for breakfast, one for lunch and then a sensible dinner.  Wednesay was broiled bay scallops and a big bowl of watermelon, and pineapple.  Yesterday's dinner was salmon filet and about a cup and half of spinach.  In between, getting lots of water in.  Must get ready for work now.  Y'all have a great day.

I agree...finally Friday.
After work, we will do dinner, then I take Caleb to his Scuba class.  He is taking it with his Boy Scout troop.  If it isn't raining, I will walk at the Boalsburg Military Museum grounds while he has his meeting.
