Concern and Annoyance with Sister...Lap Band Patient
Hi Ida,
Yes, Eileen does go to that meeting, I just think she does not get it. Soda, ice cream, french fries, were all things I know she has eaten in the past month since her surgery, not to mention caffeine, which she was instructed not to have as well. I worry so much about her because I remember how I felt before I made my decision to have my surgery. She does not have a computer at home, so OH is not an option, because her work does not allow personal stuff like this. I also know that exercise has not existed for her, in spite of my offers to give her a guest pass at LA Fitness. I guess I should just let it go, and hope she gets it soon.

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

Hi Trish,
I do understand your statement about worrying about siblings. I plan to attend the meeting @ Jeanes in August maybe I'll see your sister there ;-)
I do hear quite often at those meetings how prior to fills lapbanders can eat just about anything then with the first fill they get a sense of restriction. I know there is one woman who is a lapbander at the Jeanes group who speaks openly about her struggles because she is not restricted from sugar, fried foods, ice cream etc.
I hope once your sister starts getting her fills she is able to follow the rules better.
I will keep you sister in my prayers.
How are you doing?
Hugs,
Ida
