PAT's are Pre Admission Tests that you need to have before surgery can happen. When I did my PAT's at Barix they took blood, had me meet with the nutritionist, doctor, respiratory therapist. I was shown how to do breathing exercises that we have to do after surgery. I think that it's to make sure you don't get pneumonia - not real certain about that. At Barix they also took a photo of me and then this year at my one year check up I got another taken to compare. Boy was there a difference (100 lbs) My surgeon has his people go on a 10 day liquid diet and that was explained to me. To be honest Swede I can't remember too much about it. Hopefully someone else can fill you in on what I missed. Best of luck on your upcoming surgery. Take care.
