UPMC -PGH

HI-- I'm trying to find people that have had their RNY surgery done in PGH.... Im enrolled in the program with DR Carol Mc Closkey.. and hope to have the surgery in the fall.  Let me know your experiences with  UPMC Magee/ and or the Bariatric Center there.

There are quite a few of us "burghers here!!!   

I had my RNY done at Magee (dr. eid) in march 2009.  I have nothing but positive reports...it was smooth sailing for me and i adore dr. eid.  dont know what else to say.........post/pm/email if you have any specific questions and i'll try to help.

Dr Mccloskey is awesome.  I have nothing but great things to say about her.  My surgery went just as she told me it would.  I am a little over 3 months out and I have lost 92 pounds since my surgery.  Her secretary and Physician's Assistant are great too.  They answer a lot of questions.  Just remember that they are always busy and have a lot of patients, so be nice to them and they will take care of you.  Good luck on your Journey
