A year ago, I could not ride the Harley in comfort. My back hurt, it was hard to throw my leg over the bike to get on or get off. I wore shirts that covered everything about me.
Our road trip to the New England states and Quebec Providence - AWESOME....
I'm not ashamed to wear a tanktop tucked into my pants - have not done this since 2002.
I was throwing my leg over the bike as if I were a teenager again
Gene had no trouble balancing the Harley with both me and the travel bag on the back - he never complained when I got heavy, however, I've been riding with him long enough to know balancing around curves and turns was not easy with me and the travel back on the back last year.
We didn't have to stop as often so I could get off because I was getting so stiff. I can go longer between bathroom breaks. I could carry extra water on the seat between us without it crowding either of us.
There were some mornings I woke up to get dressed and thought, I have absolutely no business wearing this little top I'm way to fat to wear it. I know I should have brought more shirts that went to my knees and covered everything. Then I'd look in the mirror and realize I looked just fine, no one was looking at me weird as if I didn't belong on the Harley or looking at Gene with pity in their eyes because he was toating around dead weight.
Men were holding doors for me when I went into the convenience stores. One guy actually got punched by his GF/wife/significant other because he opened the door for me and said "here pretty mama let me get that door for you"
I've gotten used to women checking Gene out, even though he doesn't believe me that it happens. But to have men looking and noticing me was so weird. Gene said he was enjoying the other guys checking me out like they used to when we first met and I was skinny and he was the fat old guy.
So these are a few of my wow's from our road trip....
