Awesome post thank you for sharing!  Congratulations on your first of many years to come!
Hope to see you at the First Saturday in August, I'm planning to be there.  Gene is preaching that Sunday so I'll need to occupy myself NOT around him so he can write his sermon without me chattering too much....

Ida (and Gene!) thank you! A year is such a milestone. 100 pounds is a milestone too - and I knew the year surgiversary would come, but I wasn't so sure about the 100 pound thing! See you in August!

Congratulations on a job well done!  Your post is wonderful.  The support is here for the taking and I hope that all those who come along on this journey are as committed and as successful as you have been.  I hope to see you soon.  I hate having to miss any support group and hopefully will be at the next Saturday meeting.

Thank you Arlene! I do look forward o seeing you again. I thought of you and the group meeting where we got into an extensive discussion of bras and bra sizes not long ago when I finally broke down and got fitted. We laughed a lot that Saturday but...hey this is a serious issue!!!

Scot, I remember seeing you introduced as a first timer at Barix in June. You have come to the right place! The quality of education they provide, the quality of support groups there, and the outstanding surgeons and nurses...wow. You will appreciate it even mor when you stick around the boards for a while and see how much ion we receive compared to many from other hospitals or doctors.

Happy Surgiversary! Your story about the insurance giving you a hard time sounds like the same crap that I went through before I was approved for surgery. I think they DO want you to just say forget it, it is not worth the aggravation. But, we prevailed and persisted until we were approved! YEAH US!!

I am so glad that we have become friends and hope to keep that going for a long, long time!
