Deptrivation Ended on July 15, 2009

Steffi,, I especially remember you sharing about your struggles and fears about 9 months out. I listened carefully...it was a hard time for you. But look at you now! We DO survive those not so wonderful moments if we hold on and just "endure" I guess!

Beautiful post and so inspiring to me who is just almost 2 months out.  I find so much inspriation on the PA boards from recipes, to rants and raves, and just plain old good positive reinforcement. 

Kudos to Lynn and all of the success stories and also to the days that we struggle!

SOOO much I would love to say to those who are just a little ways out...but that's another post! Thanks for hte good thoughts. And this is a fantastic board, for sure!

Congrats on this wonderful journey that you have undertaken and are successing with......it has been wonderful to see. I'll never forget meeting you while you waited for your surgery that day. Your face was so full of hope. Your post was fabulous and I could relate to your experiences in every way. You look absolutely amazing!!

 

Kathy, that day if I looked hopeful it's due in large part to meeting you guys. 2 weeks out and you looked happy - glowing, actually- energetic, and excited. You didn't have a flashing light on your head that said "I had weight loss surgery" or anything! You two were such inspiration, the moment you walked through that door. And you continue to be! (Loved seeing the contents of the Really Big Bag in June by the way.)

I am speechless - and that is NOT an easy thing to do to me!  Congrats, Lynn!!!  Absolutely phenomenal journey and an absolutely phenomenal post!

lol Pam. No, I bet you don't get accused of being speechless too often. But I remember spotting your posts here and thinking, "This girl can kick some ass and take names and I like that about her!" You are a straight shooter and I commend you for that, and for all of your wonderful success. You often post about the stubborn last pounds, or the seesaw up and down around your goal, but never lose sight of how far you have come. Not only that, but you are a smart cookie.
We have only met in person once but I hope to get to know you better down the road.

Lynn first I hope you found something nice to wear for that night.  And second I don't think since I started my journey two years ago anyone has said this better than you and third of all the walk you just took my friend all of us are beside you mentally.  Thanks for the great walk and talk.  Keep on successing.

Linda, I did buy something that night but it was not the kind of fun shopping experience it should have been. I had a blast last night, though, and didn't buy a single thing!
