List of Support Groups - Please add on!!!!

Can never be a bad idea to have an accessible list of support groups! So post them here and I'll get a list going.

Here is what I know

Barix
pre-op - 2nd Tuesday of the month
post-op - 3rd wednesday of the month
All - 1st saturday of the month

Easton, PA
Liz's house - Cooking Class & Support Group - date varies but is posted on OH at least a few weeks in advance

It is Brinton Lake - Community Room At the Crozer Keystone Building near Rt. 322 and Rt. 1 in Concordville area. The schedule is 2nd Wed of Each month from 7 - 8:30 PM and 4th Sat of each month from 11 am to 12:30  usually. Next meeting is Saturday April 25th.
Last meeting they mentioned that they were thinking of changing the Wed night to a building near Crozer Chester Medical Center instead but they haven't decided yet.

2nd Monday of the month

St. Clair Hospital
3rd Monday of the month

Magee Women's Hospital
1st Wednesday of the month
6:00-7:30pm

St. Margaret's Hospital
Last Tuesday of the month
7:00-8:30pm

Allegheny General Hospital
4th Thursday of the month
6:00pm

West Penn Hospital
3rd Monday of the month
6:00pm

Also, Jena and I are starting a cooking/support group. We'll start meetings out at Carnegie Library in Brookline and see how the group goes from there. Meetings will be on one Saturday afternoon a month starting in May. I will post more info once we get all the details worked out.

HUP's graduate support group now meets quarterly due to poor attendance.  Next one is in July.  Abington is having one tonite I believe...I'm planning on going...anyone else?

I would LOVE to see a group somewhere closer to home that focuses on WLS graduates as much as or even more than pre-ops.  My experience with Abington has been too much pre-op questions and answers, but hey, it still helps.
Anyone know of any groups in Montgomery County close to the Phila. border????  I miss the one that used to meet in Harleysville!  Easton is just too far for me.

Lea- Check out the Barix meetings!

I'm not a Barix patient.  Is that an issue?
  I just map quested it and its closer to me than I thought so it does seem to be an option.  When is the next meeting for post-ops?

No you are welcome join us at any of the Barix meetings..It is a great group if I do say so myself. I hope to see you there at a meeting!
