OT - IE 8
Ok, so I'm a little slow....
The other week (maybe two? They all run together) I downloaded IE 8. Since then, most of the posts have been "cut off". Only by a letter or two of each line. Not enough to make it totally unreadable, but enough to make you notice and go "huh?" for just a second or two.
Well, TODAY (I told you, I was slow) I just realized up on the browser bar (where you type in www. what ever web page you are viewing. com ) next to the refresh button there is this nifty new icon which looks kind of like a piece of paper torn in half.
Apparantly it is the "Compatability view" icon - which "changes" websites that were designed for "older" browsers.
So I clicked it...and lo and behold....it tells me "Obesity help is now running in compatability mode" and look at that...all the words have the right letters ending them. Imagine that!
So...figured maybe I wasn't the only one who was having this problem and would pass along the knowledge.
Or....maybe I'm just confessing my internet abilitiless to all you knowledgeable people! LOL
Time to go outside for awhile...it's freaking 75 degrees out with a high forecasted of 78. Yahooo!

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

Pam,
Good for you! I haven't let the computers at school be updated with the new browser since I already knew about the issues and don't want the kids to have to click more than what they know about ~~~~ I never thought about telling the big kids!! LOL

As an addendum....
I was so proud of myself I went and told hubby what I figured out all on my own. Like a little kid holding up a fingerpainting I was!
And then he informed me it will only affect vista users and he knew that already and was wondering how long it would take me to "mention" the problem or figure out how to fix it. Gee, thanks hunny!
So...if you don't have vista...chances are you have no idea what I'm talking about.

I hated 8. Loaded slow and just didn`t like it. Supposed to be some patches out soon for it. I went here to "fix it for me" and it will take you back to IE7.
