I vividly remember when I was married, we bought a side of beef, and it was such a money saver. You are wise in doing this. Look at it this way, the money you save on your food bill can be put toward the new furniture.
I wish I had a doggie these days. I miss my cats very much, but don't miss the allergic reactions I had to them.

Today finds me fishing with my youngest son, Connor. He fishes, I read. First day of trout in our area. He was very excited to get going this morning and he caught his limit! He is outside now gutting them.
Middle child, Collin, is relaxing playing XBOX. He doesn't want to do anything but veg. I'm hoping he will be running a 5k or 10K race tomorrow. He had a late track invitational last night so practice today was optional. He is sooo close to making districts in the 800. Needs like 1 sec better on time to make it.
I will do some cleaning this afternoon and then get ready to go to the races with my husband later. I CAN'T wait. We go to Selinsgrove Speedway for dirt track racing of 358 sprints, late models, pro stocks and roadrunners. I love the smells, sounds, speed and the dirt flying! It brings back memories when I would go with my dad there as a little girl. It will probably be too cold for me as the night wears on plus the cars make it extra windy anyway but I'll have to plan clothing accordingly. My 'someday' wish was to fit into and drive a sprint car around the track-not under any racing conditions but just to see what it would be like. I just hope my sitter bones can handle sitting for a few hours. Can't wait-WOO HOO
Just found out I start working next Sat. @ Knoebels so we won't be able to go to the races most of the summer as I usually end up working most weekends. The park opens 4/25 for the season but just weekends for now. I enjoy working there. Helps earn a little more toward college tuition for our daughter.
