Good Morning all!

I have a day at work as usual. Get off at 3:30. Head home and search the kitchen for something to make for dinner. My fridge and cupboads are getting bare! But I will come up with something.

Other than dinner, I want to CLEAN the kitchen. Not just the everyday stuff you always do, but scrub everything real good. And maybe reorganize a few things. I am digging out all of Riley's bottles so I will sterilize those and decide where to keep the bottles at. It seems I have lost space!

Maybe I will dust also. I was noving some pics around the living room last night and realized the dusting my son did on saturday wasn't so detailed and the small things got missed. It looked terrible!

Very exciting St. Patty's day!...........LOL.

Hope everyone has a great day!

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

Good Morning Pam & PA,

Well a Happy St. Patty's Day to all, this is first time in many years that I have not been near the parade in NYC, as I worked on 5th Avenue, right near to St. Patrick's Cathedral and it was always a zoo on St. Patty's Day, actually I had some headhunter's in the City who wanted me to come in today and I told them I'd rather do it on Wednesday. . .

My life is a roller coaster ride these days, searching for job postings and sending out resumes and being unemployed right now is different than at any other time in my life, which has not ever been that often to begin with, but now it is really tough out there, but I continue to work the computer and tomorrow I will take the train into Manhattan to meet with a couple of headhunters and hopefully in time that will get me a result.  Also want to meet with some in Phillie, as I am not ruling out any market.  On Friday there is a Job Fair at the Crowne Plaza in Cherry Hill, so I will attend that and see what connections I might make there.

Well yesterday marked 17 months post-op and I dropped another two pounds this month, seems I lose about 2 lbs. a month now, which is still a loss and I am now 8 lbs. from my goal and 4 lbs. until I can claim my Century card.  It's been unbelievable and here I am at the most stressful time in my recent life and I am not eating my way through it all.  I've changed my life for the better, but I also want to acknowledge that just like alcoholism, it is a one day at a time thing.

Today, Tony is coming down to visit me and Dillinger and later today I will be going to my son's house to make corned beef and cabbage, as that is one of his favorite childhood memory meals and on Saturday he called me to ask when I was making it for him (lol). . .  he's a pain in my rear at times, but I'm glad he and his family are close by now. ..

Have a great day!

Hugs, prayers and positive thoughts, Laureen

Happy st Pattys Day everyone - well Pam it will be tough to beat your exciting day but I'm going to try. Right now I'm laundering hubbys pj's and other stuff - the poor man has been sick since Sat nite and shows no signs of improvement, so today I am home tendinh to him and calling the dr to see if I can get him in at least have the doctor call something in.

He has had a high fever and chills for several days now and last night during the night vomiting began. He didn't get much sleep and either did I. I have been with Len over 25 years and have never seen the poor man this ill. I'm getting concerned because he is also diabetic - type 2 - and with not eating I'm worried about his blood sugars. Been getting pedialite into him for some nourishment - hopefully thats the right thing to do.

So that will be my day - laundry, taking care of him (and the dog) and getting some sleep since I didn't get much last night either.

I certainly hope the doc get something to releive him. If this is the worse you have seen him in 25 years, it must be pretty bad.

I am keeping my fingers crossed he turns around and feels better soon.

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

Good morning all,
I feel like I've been so busy lately.  I've also had a cold since Friday.  Yayyy!

Today doesn't involve much... more studying, more polishing of my resume.

I'm at wor****il 3:30.  Go home, make dinner, clean... always more laundry involved.

Happy Irish Day :)

Hello all.. here I am late again.

This morning, I took my daughter to the diner for breakfast and I ate a portion of her  ham and cheese omelette.  Saved me $$.    Dropped her off at school and got to talk to her teacher... she said that she is doing much better  now that her meds are starting to be regulated!! YAY!! Great news!!

I had a follow up appt with my PCP to check my cholesterol. It actually went up, but that's probably because I have been eating a lot of eggs lately.  I'll have to cut back to whites and/or egg beaters and try to get other proteins in, too.  I've been working on adding different proteins like salmon, tuna, turkey, chicken, edamame.. so far so good.. no problems other than eating a bit too fast yesterday.

Went to the Super Walmart in Trexlertown and returned my shower curtain-found really cute penguin bathroom stuff at Target.   Circled Walmart a bit, just to get in some walking.  Came home and did a bunch  of cleaning/packing of my work stuff.

I had posted my mom's Jet3  scooter on Craigslist last week and someone came by today to buy it.  TG.. it's been sitting here for 3 years. Now, I don't have to worry about it when I move.

I'm about to go over to the apartment to give them the first month's rent and get the address so I can start updating address with the  post office and find out what I need to do  to transfer work phone/internet over there.  Maybe I can get that done before I go back to work, or during my 1/2 days so it doesn't interfere too much.  I will also need to call the school district to arrange bussing for Siehara for school.  I am so ready to move already. I can't wait to just get it done and over with.

Later tonight, there is a support group meeting at the hospital. I'm going to try to go, but not sure because Siehara will be bored.  Maybe DH will stay home with her for me. We'll have to see what happens.

That's it for now.. need to go to the apartments so I can be home when she gets home from school.
