So I guess it's just not working nights that has me up for 24 hours at a clip.  Cause I'm working on that now....lol  Both of us were EXHAUSTED about two hours ago.  Neither one of us is asleep.  And yes...we tried "that" too.....

I have no idea what's in store for today.  One of two things.  Hubby and I will paint the bedroom and be done with painting for the week

OR

That will wait for Monday and we will spend the day just relaxing, I'll make something for dinner and go through paperwork and what not.

Anybody else got anything else going on that is more entertaining?  Like watching grass grow?

Good Morning.

I am up unexpectedly. My cell was in the kitchen and when I heard it ringing at 6am, I jumped out of bed to grab it thinking something must be wrong. (mind you, it's not east for me to jump and run anywhere anymore with my big belly)

It was Johnny called to say that he loved me and wishes he was home instead of work. LOL Geesh! Normally the phone is beside me and I would have chatted a few minutes in the dark and went back to sleep, but since I jumped out of bed so quick, now I am AWAKE! Oh well, I will lay back down then.

Today is supposed to be a private practice at a local racetrack so he can take the new racecar out and get some practice in before the season begins. But it's  still raining some here so that may be cancelled due to all the mud. And that would be fine with me.........LOL

Other than that "maybe" going on. we have a lazy day of catching up on some laundry, and maybe watching a movie or something. So yeah, Pam, my day is as exciting as yours!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

YAY! I actually have something fun to do today! lol

Chris, Rachel and I will be headed over to my parents around noon to meet the rest of the family for a St Patty's Day celebration! All of my Mom's brothers and sister, their spouses and kids will be there as well as my Grandparents - it always promises to be a fun day. I've made a sugar free trifle of angel food cake and pistacio pudding and a sugar free chocolate cake with peanut butter icing. I am also bringing shrimp cakes and some pizza rolls for the kids.

TOnight when we get home it will be crashing and spending some time with CHris as we haven't had any alone time this weekend.

HAve a great weekend and enjoy the quiet Pam!!

Good morning all - I wanted to stay in bed this morning - it was nice and dark and cozy in the room, but hubby isn't feeling well and honestly I haven't heard that much moaning and groaning since the last time I watched a porn flick! And then I made the fatal mistake of rolling onto my back only to have a 20 lb fur-face climb on top of me wanting to play and get up, so we were up and out for an early morning walk. Its cold and damp and miserble here. Yuck.

Came back, emptied the trash and the dishwasher, ate breakfast and fed the dog, and then put together a crockpot full of pot pie for dinner. Hubby was going to take me out tonight but I don't see that happening now. That's okay - have plenty to do around the house today - if I don't get that Swifter out and attack the dustbunnies on the floors in the living and dining room they're going to take over the house. So some cleaning today and maybe just lazing around - oh, have some new clothes to try on - I can fit that in somewhere along the way.

So that is my exciting day - I see a nap in my future sometime this afternoon....to make up for not being able to sleep in this morning.

Enjoy the day!! Kathy

How do you make a pot pie in the crock pot?

LOL I found out the hard way you don't!! I thought I'd be clever and put it all together to keep it warm in the crock pot - OMG the bow-tie noodles sucked up all the juice and got all doughy and nasty!! The more broth I added the more the noodles sucked it up - was not a good idea! Its edible - very tasty - but for me I have to be really careful and add water because the noodles are so thick I was afraid they would get stuck. I had a little bit - hubby will eat it (he'll eat anything...) but I'm guessing the garbage disposal will be getting most of it!!

Now I did try the recipe one of the guys on here gave last week for the crockpot - 1 can diet cola, 1 c lo-carb catsup - mix it together and pour over chicken or pork - cook on low for 8 hours - I used chicken breasts and we loved it! The chicken just pulled apart with forks because it was so tender, and I didn't worry about it being dry because of the sauce.

Live and learn, right?

At least one good reason to keep the men around...they'll eat anything Ha!!  Glad the chicken came out great!  On the same lines...I use bottled barbque sauce (although the cola/ketchup thing would probably work) and a pork loin and let it simmer for 6-8 hours in the crock pot, take it out, shred it with forks, and mix in some of the simmered barbque sauce for brian to make pulled pork sandwhiches.  I'm not a huge fan of barbque sauces in general so I don't worry about making it WLS friendly as it is generally just for Brian anyway.

right now I am watching CBS News Sunday Morning and just finished eating breakfast... gotta shower and get dressed for church... Lore is ready to go... but mommy sure isn't... might help if I quit looking at double jogging strollers lol... trying to find something that will keep Lore trapped when I go out with the newest little one come September... I'm also trying not to think about the hags and tomorrow... and every time I do... my stomach and other inners start to hurt... I hate stress!

But right now they have a Looking Busy Coach so you don't lose your job on CBS right now... omg soooo funny!!
