...please wish me luck....
alright everyone...I have a 2nd interview for a manager of finance job that I *really want* at work....it's a bit of a stretch, I don't have the undergrad they want but getting the MBA helps a bit.
I interview with *the* SENIOR VP tomorrow morning... he's a real mover and a shaker...and well respected within the company. (1st interview was with the VP)
I'm ready to WOW him but extra "good vibes", from you all, can never hurt.
Thanks - going to bed to get a good nights sleep before the interview,

Thanks everyone!!
The interview went 'good'. Not horrible not awesome but a solid 'good'.
He was upfront and open about some of the reservations he has about "me" in the role.... so we talked through them, at length, and I did my best to squash those reservations. Still, words are only words and I pointed out that 'the only way I can truly mitgate the reservation is by actually doing the role, since words are just that - words. Actions speak louder than words, as they say, so allow me to prove myself IN the role through my actions and deliverables. Give me a chance ....'
The 'main' issue is that I just don't have the exposure to the 'corporate finance world'. :) That's the catch 22 - need the experience to get the role, need the role to get the experience....
So we'll see.....I did my research, I prepared for the interview, I knew the role, I knew the personalities involved...if it's part of "the big plan" it'll work out. I took a good run at it so it's now "out of my hands".

Sounds like you went very prepared for their inhibitions and you "defended" (for lack of a better word) yourself quite nicely. Good luck and you are right, things work out the way they are supposed to so whatever happens will be the best for you and your family.
Good luck.
Good luck.
