How do you become a member of a forum
Welcome and you are a member when you say you are, that's kind of how it works around here, I'm not even from PA and post here, because I live on the borderline, the NJ board, while it has wonderful people is not as active as the PA one and had my surgery in PA, I've been welcomed and been a member here for about 2 years now!
You will love it here, people are very supportive and as for support meetings, there are many to be had, hang out read the posts and you will find them. The meetings at Barix for instance are not just for Barix patients, though no one will be able to give you advice, because each surgeon is different in what they tell their patients to do, so if you attend, you will be able to hear how others are doing, but always listen to what your surgeon tells you. I started attending support groups months before I had my surgery date and I will tell you that it is a very important tool in helping on this journey. Anyway, there are also meeting held at people's homes and such and there is a wealth of information right here on this forum. So good luck as you progress on your journey towards healthy living!
Best wishes, Laureen

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . . It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . . Laureen
