New Exercise Music

Hi PA!

I wanted to share something with all of you I heard about on the news a few weeks ago.   This woman who lost some weight decided to write some upbeat music to help motivate her at the gym and hopefully to inspire others to exercise as well.  I've been listening to the music during my workouts for the past few weeks now and I enjoy it.  Please keep in mind, you may find the lyrics in these songs somewhat cheesy and the songs are all pretty much about losing weight for "appearance" reasons -- unfortunately, they don't really talk about the many health benefits to losing weight.  Also, I think the songs are probably geared more for women, but I did read some reviews from men who have enjoyed them too.  With that in mind, all 10 tracks are pretty upbeat and I'm enjoying them so I thought some of you might too.  Here's a link to the website: www.skinnysongs.com/

On the website, you can download one of the tracks for free and you can listen to sample clips from all 10 of the tracks.  If you like them, there are links to download and to buy the full album.  Happy listening!

One more thing:  I'm really sorry that I haven't posted any responses in a little while.  Between being in Florida, the move, and everything else going on, I managed to get 3 full weeks behind in OH posts :(  It was truly my intention to catch up, but it is proving difficult and the longer I wait, the farther behind I get and so I'm going to just jump back in starting with today's posts.  I'm sorry if I missed anything really important (both struggles and celebrations) and I'm looking forward to reading all of your posts again!

Missed you all these past 3 weeks,
Lisa :)
P.S.  I tried to remove the purple/blue and the underlining for my text after the link and could not figure it out...sorry!

Wow, thought you had vanished!! Glad to see you back and posting - for those of us who don't have a life we're on here every day checking all the time (that would be me...) - but glad to see you're doing well and still out there!

I'll check out the skinny songs - I'm always looking for new, motivational music, and come on, I know we all did this for our health first and foremost, but looking better doesn't hurt either!!

Welcome back - no more 3 week disappearances!

Kathy

Hi Kathy!

No, I haven't vanished...just having some trouble with my time management skills ;)  Glad to know you are still here every day ;)  It wouldn't be the same without you Kathy ;)

Let me know if you check out the SkinnySongs and whether you like them ;)  And yes, you are right -- looking better sure doesn't hurt either!!

Thanks so much for the warm welcome back -- I've certainly missed you!!!

Did you move from Boston to Florida? Or we you just visiting Florida and moved somewhere else.?
Well anyway, it was good to read your post - have missed you lately.

Hi Tammy!

No, I didn't move to Florida ;) -- Adam and I were there visiting the end of December and then I moved in with Adam here in Boston!  I moved from my apt in Boston into his condo in Somerville (which is 5 minutes outside of Boston) on the 18th of this month and I've just had a really tough time getting online the past few weeks.  But I'm back and thank you so much for your response -- I've missed you lately too and I hope you are doing well!!!

Lisa :)
