Followed up with the new treadmill routine today, and I can feel myself getting better at it.

Busted out the weights over lunch, and I'll be doing sit-ups later tonight.

I most likely won't do push-ups because I'm expecting to be fatigued from shoveling. JOY!

How about you guys?

Hi Norm!  I did the infamous Mike Materacky treadmill routine this morning along with some light weight training.  My back is still a little tight but certainly not enough to keep me out of the gym for another day.  I'll probably shovel, if necessary, when I get home... if there is anything left that hasn't melted or washed away.  If I still feel good after shoveling, I think I might head back to the gym to hit the stairmaster.  I'm going to be on the shelf for at least a couple of days with my plastic surgery "touch-ups" tomorrow so it would be nice to be able to sneak in another cardio session tonight.

Last night I ended up doing an hour of karate....not liking getting thrown down on the floor repetedly...but I guess I will get used to it and being bruised and battered on a regular basis.  After that, I went to the gym and did 60 minutes of the "weight loss" routine on the treadmill and burned 608 calories followed by sit ups and stretching.

Tonight, karate was cancelled, but I am going to call the gym to see if they are open.  If so, it will be another hour of cardio and some upper body weight training, sit ups and stretching.

After work today, I also spent about 20 minutes shoveling my driveway and helping the neighbor shovel theirs.....i stopped though, because I was tired of shoving the handle back into the shovel part....f*ing shovel!  I threw it out.....

I worked out on the treadmill today too.  I messed around with the incline and speed - some walking some running - great workout and a good sweat.  No one was there so I got to stay on for an entire hour.

Then I talked to a trainer and looked at up-coming classes and I signed up for cardio-kickboxing and spinning.  I start spinning tomorrow!

Spinning is awesome.

I loved that. My old gym had free classes, and I did it 3-4 days a week for a year.

Man, I haven't posted on this thread in a while...been trying to catch up on all the posts I've missed...

Wednesday I did 40 minutes on the treadmill (30 minutes running, 10 minutes walking) and I took two 30-minute walks outside (yes, in the snow!)
