I love to read, to travel. I am trying to find an excercise outlet that I can enjoy. I like trying new things now that I am not afraid I am too fat to do them. I am the middle child of 3 girls, I am close to my sisters even though they live in NC still. I love the mountains. the beach is ok.
What else, i guess that is it. No kids, not gonna have any. Might get married this year, LOL that would been a hoot we will see. I will give Liz Taylor a run for her money

I'm Denise and I live in the North Hills area of Pittsburgh.  I've been married since Sept. of 2000 and have 2 kids ages 7 and 4.  I'm 45 years old and my husband is 37.  I married late and had children late and they are kicking my butt!

I'm originally from NY. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, lived in NYC for a while and then moved to Rockland County where I lived until moving here in 2004.  My husband is from this area.

I'm a recruiter and currently work for a staffing agency as an On-Premise recruiter for a major medical supplies manufacturer. I love the client that I work for, but not my employer so much.  I'm going to be talking to my manager about decreasing my hours to PT status-30 hours a week.

I like reading most of all, surfing and playing on the 'net and crocheting.  I'm trying to reteach myself how to knit. My mom taught me when I was young but didn't have the patience for it.

My mother's family was from Eastern PA by way of Italy and my father's family is Puerto Rican.  My husband is Filipino, American Indian, Hawaiian, German and Skandinavian.  So we joke that our kids are Heinz 57 flavors.

Very cool idea Lisa....

My name is Beth currently live in Northeast Philadelphia (holmesburg) in the house I grew up as a child. I am 40 soon to be 41 in April and never been married or do I have children then again I never had a desire to have a child either.

Both of my parents have passed away and everyday I still miss my Mom and I have 1 brother and 3 step siblings who I am not really close to at all. So my extended family is my family I am very close to my Aunt Mary and her kids Steven and Mary along with her grandkids. My cousin Steven's wife Donna is my best friend in the whole world they have been together since I have been 11 years old ...

I worked in insurance for a lot of years and grew to hate so about 3 years ago I went to do inside sales and customer service work for a small sign company which is very close to my house. It is an alright job but not sure it is my future. I am still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up.  I am also a private events DJ on the weekends and I LOVE this job it is so much getting know people and share in their fun times but as fun as it may seem make no mistake it is work.

The best thing I ever did for myself was to get this surgery done it has improved my life in so many ways and one of the greatest ways currently...It lead me to the person I have been spending my days and nights with if I knew this time a year ago that having surgery would take me to this cross road of my life I would have never believed but it is happening it is just one more piece of the puzzle falling into place.

So why others say the only regret was not doing it sooner for me I did it just when I needed to do it for my life to be as it is today.

Hi - I'm Roger -- I'm Mexican-American and just turned 38 -- and just moved to West Philly just off the Main Line in June 2008.  My wife and I (we just celebrated our 13th anniv.) just relocated from Austin, TX so that I could accept a position as postdoctoral fellow/visiting assistant professor at Saint Joseph's University.  My wife's been great about the move and she loves her new job at the Philly Zoo.

Let's see, I'm on my second career, just having finished my PhD in May 2008.  I study and write about medieval Spain, particularly the interrelations of Jews, Christians, and Muslims from 711 to 1492.  I'm passionate about inter-religious co-existence (you wouldn't believe how much Spain in the year 1100 looks like our world in 2009) and my favorite past time is sitting in dusty cathedral archives in little towns in Spain.

I love to travel -- having lived overseas (Venezuela and Bolivia) when I was teenager and my parents worked for the Departments of Defense and State -- and if I can't get out of the country at least once a year I basically go bonkers. (Thankfully, I've got a research trip scheduled in March -- off to Madrid for a week. Yeah!)

I very much so like teaching -- college-age kids (that are not your own...ha...ha) are just fascinating, interesting people.  They are still kids and playful and not beaten down by the world -- and it is remarkable to participate in their process of "becoming" who they will be as adults.

Okay... I can't wait to read more bios. Qiao, Roger

This is Great!   I am going to take time on the weekend to read them all.

My name is Rosalind, but my DH (and my bird) calls me Rozbaby.

I am 55 and feeling younger every day.  In May I will be married 35 years to the man that had a crush on me in 3rd grade.  We went through a hating stage and then started dating when I was 15.  We have 3 beautiful daughters ages 31,30, and 27, two wonderful son-in-laws (middle daughter is divorced), and 4 grandchildren (3 girls ages 9, 3, 13 months and a grandson 8 months).  We are a very strong Christian family.

We live in Butler, it is a small town north of Pittsburgh, PA.  I hate the winter, but I would never leave my girls so I just have to deal with it.

I worked at a Jewelry store in Butler, as a bookkeeper/secretary for 18 years until they closed last January.  I loved my job so this past year has been hard.  I really miss the girl I worked with all those years. I haven't been able to find a job anywhere so I am watching my 2 youngest grandchildren every day and spending a lot time on OH.  My unemployment runs out in July, so I am going to start getting desperate soon.

Our girls are our Pride and Joy.  The oldest is a CPA, the middle just graduated from college in December and will hopefully get an Elementary teaching job (so I can stop paying her mortgage), and the youngest has a Physical Education Degree.

My oldest and youngest Coach All-Star Cheerleading and that is where my DH and I spend most of our free time and money.  They have 9 squads and 250 girls.  We travel all over the US to competitions.

If I hadn't have lost my job I probably wouldn't have had WLS.  I would have kept making excuses, but with all of this free time on my hands the excuses didn't work any more.

Roz

God is walking with me every step of the way. Because of HIM this is possible!!
