Calories (and protein) in a Chicken leg

I'm trying to figure out exactly how much protein  there is in a chicken leg no skin.  I go on calorie king.com ( where I get most of that info) and it says one thing, then I go on the daily plate, where I track all of my food and there are about 100 entries that are ALL DIFFERENT!

My list says 3oz = 21 grams

As a rule you can estimate 7gms per 1oz. of protein.

As a follow-up, even though most 1oz.=7gms they are different in composition.  For example, 1 slice cheese (like the American Single) versus 1 oz. filet mignon.  Pretty obvious that the filet will fill you and keep you filled longer than the slice of cheese which kindof melts as you eat it; thus, you'll get hungrier faster eating the cheese.   The further out you go the denser you want to make your proteins so they "stick" with you longer.   This prevents eating more per sitting and more frequently (grazing).  You are supposed to be slightly uncomfortable (full feeling).   If you constantly search for what goes down easily you set yourself up for failure further out.  Instead, make the pieces smaller and chew longer until you get the denser stuff down.
