Sounds great Lauren!  Dr. Trang is a great physician. Congratulations.  Yes, those laps sound familiar -- around the close by nurses' station and the one on the other end of the floor.  7 laps!  Whew!  That is tremendous!  I am so happy for you.  Since my surgery on the 9th -- I've been doing great.  The day of and day after surgery were the hardest -- but then despite my worries -- I continued to feel great.  The toughest part? The car ride home -- a little bumpy.  Your are going to do great -- keep us posted.

thank you. Dr trang was so great, kept me walking and reassured me everything went great. I was just discharged and am now home, drinking my water and walking around the downstairs of my house. my stomach is slowly settling, and the gas is going down.

Good to hear you are home!  Ya, I couldn't tell what that pain was at first -- it was mostly my inflated gas-filled stomach.  Most of that uncomfortableness was gone 36 hours after I was home.  But, its a very weird sensation.  Isn't it? Good to hear your tummy is settling.  Getting the liquids in at home is difficult.  For the first week home I was relatively dehydrated -- I was afraid of overfilling my pouch with water.  But, I think that fear was unwarranted. Just do your best. Each day will get better and better.

yeah, im going to just take it one day at a time. figureing out how much is too much is going to be the hard part, so i am taking it slow.

OMG that's fantastic.  I couldn't even get out of bed until my 3rd day post-op.  I hear about people who have virtually no pain and go back to work in a week or two and I am so envious since I had such a rough time my first two weeks post-op.  Doing fine now, but you're doing GREAT!!!
