You didn't mention what you're looking to get done. Are you trying to get approval for panni removal? arms? Each procedure has specific requirements and certain areas are ALOT more difficult if not almost imposssible to get covered by insurance than other areas. In order to get any sort of consideration by the insurance company, it must be medically necessary so what type of medical issues are you having? You said you don't have any rashes but are you experiencing any other types of problem caused by the excess skin? You're going to need alot of medical documentation from your PCP and/or specialists when you submit to the insurance company but if you're not having any sort of medical issues then unfortunately your chances of having it covered are going to be almost none.

I had been talking to my PCP about rashes etc all along when they came up. When I was ready he wrote me a letter, my chiro wrote a letter and my PS wrote a letter and sent pics. I met medical necessity because of skin break down. and due to my panni hanging below the pubis area and i forget what else. The best thing we did was my PCP and I looked up with criteria my Insurance company uses to determine and he made sur e that the letter truthfully included that info,

I went through the Barix Plastic Surgeon Dr. Chapin and he is great! At first my insurance said no due to it not being a "medical " issue. However, my PCP wrote a letter, my dermatologist wrote a letter and so did Dr. Boe. I wrote an my insurance co. an appeal letter with color pictures quoting their exact guidelines and proving my point. I was approved soon after. My insurance company is Personal Choice. If you want a copy of my letter I can email to you

besides rashes, there are yeast infections (external and internal), bladder infections, herinas, etc... that can help you get approved... My chiro and asthma docs are all ready to right the letters when I am ready for a breast reduction and tummy stuff... my pcp is ready because of the bladder infections and skin yeast infections on my girly bits for the other surgeries...
