I'm with Liz, Seriously, if I didn't eat I my desk, I wouldn't eat at all... Spring, ,Summer, Winter Fall, anytime. I'm also with everyone else, that's the DUMBEST thing I've ever heard.

People who smoke don't have to justify it, I don't think you should have to either. I would just say I have to eat every 2-3 hours period. If they don't require explaination from smokers, they shouldn't require one from you.

The one issue is if you make a big deal out of it, then you HAVE to eat every two hours or they'll start to resent you. It's not fair, but that's how people are.

I eat at my desk because I would feel guilty going into the lunch room every 2 1/2 hours.  I don't have a restriction about eating at my desk, but I do make sure my keyboard is tucked away as not to get anything on it.  My boss is diabetic so there is no grief there.  As far as everyone in my office is concerned, I eat to stabilize my blood sugar same as the boss.

Some days your the dog and some days your the hydrant.

You know the crazy thing is my boss is a smoker herself and takes a smoking break every 2 hours on the clockwork. When it starts getting nice out we have a smoking deck outside and some picnic tables out there so I will be eating outside. Nan is right I do feel guilty going to the cafeteria every 2-3 hours and the cafeteria is almost 5 minutes away. I guess I will be taking those little breaks because I refuse to eat in the bathroom. LOL..Thanks everyone for the advice and I am getting good at sneaking in small crackers and finger foods.

People comment on my over 100 pound weight loss and attribute it to my WILLpower, but it is my WANTpower: I WANT to be thin and healthy more than anything else!
