must be getting close

So, this is for real, huh?!

I must've talked to Patti from my surgeon's office at least 5 times today.  The first time was to tell me that she got all the paperwork from everyone and was calling Aetna for the fax number to submit my info.

Second time, she called to let me know that I was going to need to go in for an endoscopy and related pre-admission testing.

Then, she called me back AGAIN because the bariatric nurse wanted all the February patients to come in for a meeting on Monday!!

I know we spoke a few other times about lab work and results and stuff...

This is truly happening, isn't it!!  I am so freakin' excited,  In the next few weeks, I will have the meeting with the nurse, the PAT's, the endoscopy and hopefully the approval!!!  I asked Patti if she thought approval would be an issue and she confidently said NO!  Cross your fingers for me!

My psych released me today unless I WANT to see him.  He just wants me to come back a month post-op to let him know how I am doing.  Of course, he said that if I want to go, I can.  I may find someone else, not sure yet.   That is something I'll have to think about as the process goes on.

Wow! New emotions keep coming at me.. it's crazy!

yes this is happening. It is quite a crazy ride.
You may not want to do the counseling piece now
but stay open to it. This is a rough journey and
i recommend that people utilize some kind of therapeutic
support to get through it.

Good for you. I know you are excited

Yes, it is very real...and I can feel your excitement.  Before you know it, you will be on the "other side" and finding out just how REAL it all is.   I wish you much luck in your journey.

Hi Lisa

I am happy for you. You seem very well prepared and I am confident that you will be another WLS success story.  It is such an exciting time with emotions all over the place.  As I'm sure you've heard from so many others, it was the best decision and I'd do it again in a heartbeat!!!

It was nice meeting you in person at Liz's.

Good Luck

Thank  you all for the support.   Nicole, I agree.  I'm sure I will  need someone to help me get through  this.  I'm just not sure if the one I started with is the  one who I will continue to see.  I went  to him  because that is  who my surgeon told me to go  to.   I intend to research other MH professionals in the area to find someone who is trained to deal with WLS  patients.  This guy was ok, but kind of weird.

Oh what a journey I am about to embark on!!! Fabulous!!!!!
