ENDOSCOPY Scheduled

My daughter had endoscopies done about every 2 weeks or so.  She had her gastric bypass done Aug 2007 and her doctor made a mistake during her surgery which completely messed her up.  She actaully left the hospital with a stricture.  She had to keep going back to see if they can open it but it kept closing.  She could not even keep water down.  She did not eat anything and threw alot of water up for about a 3 month period.  When she had her endoscopies done, she did not have any problems.  She does not go to that hospital any more.  She goes to a specialist in NY.

And by the by....your records can be transferred to any doctor should you choose to change doctors.  So the theory of continuity isn't a big issue.  fact of the matter is this doctor is probably not going to remember your endoscopy just by memory recall and will probably read the report/look at the pics from your first one to do the comparison of the second one.  Same thing a new doctor would do.  Just sayin....
