Just so everyone knows, my endoscopy has been scheduled.

I would like to make 2 points:

1) I had one done befoe surgery and ...It is HORRIBLE, you get a sore throat for the whole day and nothing helps.
2) My Dr is mean. and he puts me in a bad mood for the whole day.

If you care, just FYI.

Angela,
Maybe you need a new doctor. When I had mine done - I did not have any after affects - no sore throat at all. I wondered if they really did it.

HEY!!! How are you doing? Do you look like  a teenager now that you've had all that work done?

If your dr. puts you in a bad mood for the whole day, why don't you find another one in your area? I wouldn't want to go to a dr. that's mean every time, you are worth more than that!!
Anyway, good luck!!!

Since he's a gastroenterologist, this is only the 2nd time in life that I've ever seen him.  I don't plan on seeing him again and he already has history on me to compare with my pre-op esophagus and stomach etc. So I wanted some continuity.

However if he were my primary care physician that I saw with some regularity I would definitely be switching.

Thanks for the post!

Wow I`ve had 3 done in the last 6 months. 2 at Twin Rivers Endoscopy in Easton by Dr Herman  and one at University of Pa by Dr Ginsberg and all 3 were like a very nice power nap with no ill effects.

You are making me VERY nervous.  Why did you need so many done in the last few months?

It had nothing to do with WLS. Before I had my WLS I had a gallbladder attack. They found a tumor in the lining of my stomach. Then the second endo was with an ultrasound tip and the third was at Philly with a biopsy tip.
The concluded it was benign. I`ve had absolutely no problems with my WLS.
