Endometrial Biopsy (Ladies Only)
Hi Eileen
wish you luck with your procedure, I had a colposcopy & LEEP and they told me I would have cramping but I never felt a thing I only new they did these procedures because I bled like a pig which I didn't like that is why when he said I needed another LEEP I went for the hysterectomy.I have talked to several people when I had my procedure and found that people who had children didn't have any discomfort after theses GYN procedures
Good Luck

Hi Eileen,
I had the cervical biopsy thing done and something else done all in one shot. I'm sure it's the same kind of thing, though, with the endometrial. It was very uncomfortable but only lasted for maybe an hour. My OB/GYN told me to take some medicine beforehand and then continue afterward. Tylenol sucks for me. I have always taken Advil. I think you would be fine taking it this time. I believe Dr. Boe said it's a usuage thing over a period of time that would effect your pouch. So taking it for one day, you should be fine.
Good luck!!! I hope it goes very easy and as pain free as possible!!!

I had it done last year. It was a little uncomfortable. I took a muscle relaxer and pain pill before I went . It felt like a ***** ( no not the doctor...lol ) I think I was more uncomfortable because after 30 some years of having the same gyn the guy ups and retires ! So this was someone I didn't have much interaction with. He was very nice and gentle so I guess he will be my gyn from now on.
I don't know about the work thing. I came home and laid on the couch for a while ( gotta do what you have to to have hubby wait on you )
It's the waiting for the results that seem to last forever..
Good Luck

Thanks Sandy. Same thing with me....this is a new gyno. My reason is because I haven't been to one for many, many years. It was always too difficult and too embarrassing when I was 350+ lbs. But I really like this group. They made me feel so comfortable and didn't yell too much when I told them I couldn't remember the last time I had a pap smear. Thankfully, the pap came back clean. But according to them, because I still get my period at age 57 I am a prime candidate for uterine cancer. So they want to do the biospy as a precautionary measure.
Eileen I had it done it felt like an uncomfortable pressure. They found a cyst on my left ovary and one month after I had it removed I didn't get my period after that and I wa 46 years old and I do not miss it, that was 7 years ago okay ladies if you do the math that makes me 53. I've never been embarrassed to tell my age.
