Scrapple after WLS ??
My ex-hubby and I used to make our own scrapple. (We butchered out own hog each year) When we made ours, we would put it in aluminum loaf pans. Then before freezing, we would slice it. That made it much easier when we thawed it to cook. But we always freezed ours and the consistency was the same as non=frozen. But then again, we made our own, so there wasn't near as much junk in it as other sources.
As far as taste? I have no idea. Never could bring myself to eat the stuff, just made it or fried it up for ex and kiddos. But everyone in the family loved it and family members looked forward to when we would make the scrapple.
I always cooked ours on the george foreman, or in a pan with PAM cooking spray. One son loves his with syrup, the other one loves his with mustard...........LOL

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!
Scrapple is made from the same choice pieces of Beef or Pork that would bring you hotdogs. You could buy a ham steak and cook it and chop the hell out of it for a healthier alternative.
