Scrapple after WLS ??
My response to that would be.....don't find out what it is until you have tried it! Real Scrapple is not the most descriptively, desireable food item...but man it is wonderful with an egg or for me...just plain.(oh but cooked) It is something a person should just try, to say they had had it....If you don't like it then you know it, but if you do....it is addictive!! What is even worse, is to live in Oklahoma and they don't have it here!!!

LOL! That is true....but then actually we don't really know what we are eating half the time!
I am also a fan of Lamb and Calf Fries commonly called Mountian Oysters..(or just plain balls off calves and lambs).....Sounds horrible but they are wonderful!! They are sliced thin, dipped in batter and fried and you dip them in a ****tail sauce...I just typed about the sauce and it hit me how perfect the name is! This is not a joke in case you think it is....It's true they really are delicious!

Think "HOT DOG" lol
It is mostly pork products (livers, and "scrap" parts") corn meal, salt, pepper spices. I love it but try not to think too much about it. I usually only eat what my Uncle makes because at least then I know that there are good "scraps" going into it. It is formed into bricks and usually deep fried or pan fried until the outside gets crispy. It is basically mush but gets super crispy when it is fried up. Great with eggs and toast.

An alternative to the pork scrapple would be turkey scrapple. I found it this weekend and it only had 2.5 grams of fat per serving. I didn't even know there was such a thing as turkey scrapple. I have always been a huge scrapple fan, but post op, will only have a bite or two...it just doesnt sit well anymore. However, the turkey scrapple was great. Unfortunately, I have never seen it in the regular grocery stores. I found it at a place in Morgantown called BeBe's. You might want to ask your friend to look for the turkey version down in DE.
