Hey Nicole,

Nice to see I'm not the only late nighter. . .  I've been up planning a NYC get together for the Fall for the other OH board I participate, the Over Fifty Forum, OFF, as we refer to it there.  Periodically, someone will put together one in their home town and a bunch of us will fly, drive or whatever to hang out and meet up.  Last year I went to one in Pittsburg and also met up with one of the gals in Florida when I was down there, so it's a nice way to meet the people who have supported one another on this WLS journey.  As I've said before, the two boards I am participating members are the best support around.

Anyway, I'm going to get myself in bed as tomorrow I have an early eye doctor's appointment, then a visit with my son (and his family), as he is returning to Germany, by himself, for one last trip, it will be six weeks, but I'm sure he will miss his family terribly, then I have to meet up with a g/f of mine from AA, as we are having a small dinner on Sunday to celebrate one of our friend's first sober anniversary, and we have to buy some things for the dinner and then we are off to dinner and going to the Walnut Street theater to see "A Streetcar Named Desire".  So while I will, once again, miss Liz' wonderful cooking support group, I will be busy doing the things I need to and social activities.

Hope wherever you are, it is a warm and comfy!

Hugs, prayers and positive thoughts, Laureen

Good Morning PA -

I am up early as usual today. Today has me delivering newspapers, going to the gym and attending Tom's memorial service. A year ago today I conducted my brother's memorial service, so not so sure today will be an emotionally sound day for me, but we will see. Thankfully I have some great friends who I can share today with.
I think my sis wants to do some shopping tonight and there is always taking care of mom in between all of that. Hope you all have a good Saturday and STAY WARM.......

Good Morning!
Today is going to be a busy day...First, I go to the chiropractor for a massage and adjustment. Then to the gym for cardio and strength training. After that is Liz's wonderful cooking/support group and then home to crash and be with my dog...whew, I am tired already    LOL.  See all of you at Liz's today...can't wait to meet new people today!

Yesterday I had my med eval.  It went bad as predicted.  Insurance company doctors are paid to give negative reports.  All you medical people out there, have you heard of gliding tendons?  This doctor said they were removed in my hand.  This is the first I have heard this.

So, I am pretty wiped out today.  My sweet hubby wasn't feeling well so he went to bed early.  We were supposed to drive back up today, but that will depend on how he feels.

Anyway, we shall see how it goes.

Clueless about weight loss and weight loss surgery of any kind.

I have never heard of gliding tendons before.  There is a "gliding action" of tendons to move bones and what not...but that's as far as my knowledge goes.  I did a quick google search just to see if I could learn about them - and there wasn't much about anything called that.  Again - they brought up the gliding motion tendons perform...

Good luck!

Hey Nicole!  Can't wait to see you and Jason today!

I got a decent amount of sleep last night - but not as much as I was expecting.  When this insomnia finally clears up, I'm gonna crash big time.  Oh well.

This morning I've gotten up and made a sf chocolate ganache and filled the cream puffs with the sf/ff custard and topped them with the sf ganache.  They look great!  For whatever reason, the shells did not stay as crispy as the last time I made them - but they are still definately more than edible (and if you cover it with chocolate, who cares anyway, right?  LOL)

I'll be packing up all my items to make sure I don't forget anything and the probably jus****ching TV for the rest of the early morning before I get showered and dressed and head off to Liz's house.

When I get home from Liz's house....there may be company at mine.  A friend and his family had plans to come up but now he has to work in the morning - so he said he'll see how it goes after that.  I'm not even sure what time he is working until.  If they are here, this evening will be spent hanging out with them.  If not...maybe Brian and I will watch a movie - we haven'****ched one the past two nights like we had planned.

Stay as warm as possible!  Can't wait to everyone!

Pam
