Just ranting...

Ok Nicole...I know this is nothing in comparison to what you went through but I'm gonna whine anyway.

I am due for my monthly friend this coming week...and the water retention has set in full force.  Nothing seems to fit right...down to and including my underwear.  I am about 5 pounds 'overweight' meaning I generally hang around 125 and today I am 129.5

There was a time when I barely noticed the water retention except for my rings.  Now that I dress with clothes that actually fit me...I feel it everywhere.  I do have some of my size 4 jeans left here, but 5 pounds is not enough to fill them out properly.  So it's either big 4s or snug 2s.  I've gone with the 2s because brian says I still look great in them, regardless how I feel.

And what's bugging me the MOST is that I feel fat.  Not fluffy, sorry val, f-a-t fat.  Intellectually I KNOW I'm not that (I'll try to refrain from using the f word repeatedly)  I KNOW I'm not 235 pounds.  I KNOW I'm not wearing my 24s.  However....I feel like I did 'then'.

Am I making any sense?

Perhaps I need a good arse kicking at Liz's today.  And by Friday this should all be over with anyway.....

All I can tell you Pam is that when you don't have your monthly friend anymore you wont have this problem.  But you will have other problems.....which make pleasurable things less pleasurable.  (If you know what I mean)!!!!!
So drink plently of water and in 2 days the bloating will be gone.  Besides, Size 4 is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!

PAm - sorry just got to reading this now. You couldn't tell that you had put on the 4.5 pounds since the last time I saw you - we always see it before anyone else does! I have gained as much as 7-10 pounds with my period! Crazy isn't it?! And I always feel terribly bloated and yuck. Hopefully you are feeling better now - water pill might not be a bad idea since you'll be traveling.

Oh and your 2's looked great! My only hope of a 2 is with a 1 before it! LOL that's OK I'll take it! I started out at a snug 28 so I even feel great now wearing a 14!

Hope you feel back to normal soon!

I really appreciate your comments on how I looked - because I felt like a stuffed sausage.  And as much as Brian told me otherwise...I tend to think he is biased and tells me what I want to hear anyway...so I don't believe him completely.  Then again - I've gotten used to relying on what he tells me to a certain degree because when I realize my eyes haven't caught up with my body - I need someone else's judgement to tell me how I look.

Oddly enough as of Sunday morning was I already back down to 127.  I didn't try putting the jeans on - I just stayed in my baggy soft pajama bottoms all day so I didn't have to think to much about it.  My watch fit me just fine this evening when I went to work.

I'll think about the water pill - but I don't think I'll take one.  We'll see.

I do hope I feel more like myself soon - cause nicole is right - swelling makes me *****y!

Thanks again!

Pam

I never noticed bloating before because i was so heavy but now i definately notice it.
I have also notice for some reason in the winter it is worse. Would not hurt to drink a little extra or drink some grapefruit juice or so.
I am sorry you feel this way. I have learned that swelling makes women *****y!!!

Brian is learning the same thing..(that women get *****y when swollen)  ..and neither one of us like it!!
