NERVOUS!
I meet today with my nut and the excercise guy?..lol don't know his correct title..but I am supposed to lose 10 lbs before surgery and I know I didn't. I have been keeping a journal of all of my meals and excercising, I feel better and I haven't had to take my diabetes meds so I hope they take these things into consideration! My surgery is scheduled for Feb 25...I am praying they don't postpone my surgery.
WISH ME LUCK! My appt is at 3:30!

You still have a month to lose that ten pounds, and perhaps the nut and exercise guy (I think his title might be exercise physiologist...but I am soooo not sure of that) will be able to give you advice on how and what to do in that month time frame.
In the meantime....watch your salt intake. It is hidden in a LOT of foods and can contribute to retaining water weight. For really restricted salt diets, they say no more than 2gm of salt in a day (that's 2000mg) Canned veggies, frozen meals, broth, diet soda, etc can have a lot of that. Check your labels and add up how much salt you are getting in a day. Also, adding as much water as you can possibly tolerate daily will also help. People say adding lemon to your water helps flush water weight off....
I'm sure Dr. Brader will be very happy with the progress you have made thus far. Go over your logs with them and listen to their advice...they are good peeps (I met them last spring, although he was not my surgeon)
Try not to be nervous - they are there to help you!

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.
I think that his name is Greg, and i believe that Pam had his title correct. I had to loose 9 pounds in 6 days so you have it easy! lol what I did was slimfast - I would have a protein shake for breakfast and lunch and for dinner I had something "sensible" and all went well! I think that I lost 12 pounds before surgery.
Dr Brader and his team is the best - you are in good hands!

PS - I got that letter in the mail earlier this week about the new pre-op procedures - they are pretty strict! I'll have the letter out saturday if anyone wants to read it.
