I had mine cut into the Princess Di and of course it will never look like hers when you get home from the hairdresser but its alot easier to take care of and because it has alot of layers it looks fuller.

Oh and I forgot instead of freezing my ass off I am now freezing my head off.

My hair was past the middle of my back prior to surgery, and then I began to shed about 3 months post op.  I held on to it till I lost the first 50 lbs and then at my next appointment decided to get it cut short.  I've never had short hair, but I was tired of wearing my hair on my clothing rather than my head.  At first I got it cut alittle about the shoulders with it angled in the front so it still felt long, but was short.  In the next few weeks I kept going back to get it shorter and shorter, now it's wedged up to my occipital bone in the back and angled to about my jaw line, it's so qick and easy to style now it's great.  Plus we added a few layers so my new growth, well regrowth could blend in better.  I love it short now, but I am so unbelievably cold now I keep praying for the summer and humidity to warm me up.

It's not every day you get to see the word occipital bone used in a sentence on these boards.  I'm impressed.

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

Among pursuing my nursing degree, I also hold my cosmetolgy instructors license.  That came in handy with learning the bones of the skull for A&P.
