(Monster Truck Voice) FRIDAY FRIDAY FRIDAY Exercise Thread
What are you doing to stay active today?
Me? I'm in for a 60-minute cardio session (30 minutes on the moving-arm elliptical, 15 minutes on the stationary elliptical, and 15 minutes running on the treadmill)
I fought my way through my weight routine over lunch. It's still difficult, but I'm not popping Tylenol when I'm done, so I'm getting my "muscle memory" back.
I'll do my push-ups and sit-ups later tonight.
I think I'm going to try and build up my time on the treadmill. According to the digital readout, I burn more calories on the elliptical, but I breathe hard and sweat like a hog on the treadmill, so I'm thinking that's the more challenging workout for me at the moment.
In the interest of fairness and full disclosure (ahem), I did eat a donut at work today. I'm kind of pissed off at myself about it.

hmmm...i seem to recall getting a text message from you the last time you ate a donunt and you were stinking Mary and Trixie out of the house.....Tell them I will give them shelter if they need it.
I got my ass kicked at karate last night....so I am going to the gym tonight to work on my running...I am thinking my best defense is going to be running away as fast as I can from trouble

45 minutes on the stairmaster this morning (nine 5-minute segments... levels 7 through 12, then levels 10, 8 & 6 )... 3 minute cooldown... 100 reps on calves (25 reps each at 150, 175, 200 & 225), 50 reps each on the funky "spread your legs, close your legs" hip and thigh machines (10 reps each at 50, 75, 100, 125 and 150), 50 reps of leg curls (15 at 50, 10 each at 60, 70, 80 and 90).
I don't normally go public with my workout routines but I really feel like I've worked my a$$ off the past couple of days so why not share the love? LOL
BTW, Norm, you burned off the doughnut about 20 times... no need to be PO'ed about it.
Later,
Mike

Yeah, my 3rd grade math! LMAO! 50 reps of leg curls was 15 each at 50 and 60 and then 10 each at 70 and 80.
Tomorrow will be an hour on the treadmill... usually 55 minutes of walking at max incline followed by a 5-minute run (not a jog, not a sprint... LOL) and a full upper body workout. Just wanted you to know that I wasn't neglecting the top half. ;-)

Elliptical for 33 minutes - average heart rate was 147; in "the zone" for 25 minutes. I felt I did a great job.
I did *not* eat a donut (still scared about the whole dumping thing) but I did have a piece of sugar-free blueberry pie while reading a few case studies/articles this evening. Gotta love M&A.
