Hello All:

Thanks to those who wished me well on 12/26 (the date of my surgery). I had a rough couple days after the surgery because I found out the hard way that I am allergic to Codeine--- gave me really bad fevers--- so NOT fun at all.

As of today, I am feeling wonderful and like my old self again!! WOO HOO! I am so glad I took an extra week off from work because I needed it.

Looking forward to talking and learning from those who have had WLS before me.. I need all the tips and knowledge I can get.

Hope everyone's new year started out well.

Chanel,

Congratulations on being on the "other side" IE the losers bench!!

Just keep sipping and walking and resting and healing!  You will do great!!  This is definately one heck of a roller coaster ride, but it is all worth it!

Welcome to the Loser's Bench, follow the posts and you will learn (and laugh and sometimes cry), ask questions and you will learn, living life post-WLS you will learn and eventually be sharing what you've learned with others.  It gets better as time goes on, in the meantime, be sure to follow your surgeon's instructions, remember that your way got you to that operating table and his way will get you a healthier and as a byproduct, happier life!

Sip, sip, walk, rest, protein, sip, sip. . .

Best wishes, Laureen
