I thought that was tomorrow!! Best of luck Roger!! Sit back, hold on tight - it is going to be a wild ride! BUT - it is all SOOOOO worth it!! Remember to walk and sip - the more you do of both the faster you will recover! Focus on liquids and protein and realize that you aren't going to get them all in at first - just strive to do better every day.

I promise that this is all worth it! I am almost 2 years out and the only regret I have is not doing it sooner!!

best of luck and can't wait to have you on the losers bench with us!

Congratulations Roger!  This is the best decision you could make and will well be worth it in the end!!  Hang on for one heck of a wild ride!!

Sip sip sip....walk walk walk; repeat!  The walking really does help you heal sooooo much faster!!

Everyone - Thanks very much!  Ya'll are very sweet (I'm a Texan, that's the, "ya'll" reference.)  Today was a great day -- I wasn't even hungry today -- and that wasn't because my stomach was filled with butterflies.  And, even better, I had the chance to make a lean pot roast with lots of vegetables for my wife so that she doesn't starve on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.  Focusing on her needs really helped me get through the day.  Ya'll take care and I'll write as soon as I am up to it. Warmly yours, Roger
