OK Slackasses! Who's working out today?
After two weeks of relative inactivity, I hauled my doughy ass back into the gym today.
I was able to crank out my hour on the elliptical no problem, but I gotta tell you, it was a struggle for me to get through my weightlifting routine over lunch. I predict some soreness tomorrow in the AM.
This will also be my first day of doing push-ups and sit-ups in the evening.
I should have no problems with the push-ups, and I'm excited to use the "Perfect Push-Up" Mary got me for Christmas.
I'm not sure about the sit-ups though. I've never done them post-surgery. I always had my big gross Jabba-sized hernia which I didn't want to aggravate, but now that it has been fixed and healed, I guess I can start.
I'm looking into a yoga class here at work. It's Tues/Thurs over my lunch period. I'm waiting to hear how much it costs before committing.
So who else is getting their buff on today?

well I haven't actually worked out yet.. I'm in the pre-op do whatever I want stage. BUT, I did go to Gold's yesterday and got some information. I am going to go gym hopping over the next week or two to find out which one will be best for me so I can start going as soon as possible. Any suggestions... I'm in Bethlehem and don't want to travel too far.
Alright - so we all know that my exercise equiptment severly misses me. Today I decided to get back into the game - albeit slowly. I did a lot this weekend and am a bit sore so I started with the yoga moves that I should be doing every day to get my core in shape to help my back - I will continue to do them every night this week and then will move slowly back into what I can - the treadmill and the bike for now - then maybe Chris will teach me to use the total gym. I know I need to do strength training - my muscles are like Pop Eye without spinach - seriously droopy. It is a start though none the less!!

I have never missed a workout since my surgery. I get my protein and water in and do treat myself to one small indulgence every once in a while. My surgiversary is coming up on January 29th and my goal is to lose the last 10 pounds by then. I am proud that I have literally worked my A$$ off in taking this weight off and have vowed that I will never get back into the old habits again. As long as there people and many others that inspire me every single day I will keep on trukin'. Thanks for this post I personally really needed it.
