Oh yes, we can throw up! It isn't any more uncomfortable then it was pre-op. Just try and get in as many fluids as you can now before you get sick and keep drinking water and decaf beverages.

Hope you don't get sick!!

I've heard that there are a lot of nasty things going around out there - just glad that they haven't come near me yet! I think that all of the vitamins we take must help, even if I do get sick it seems to pass very quickly.

Here's to a healthy new year!

Keep your fingers crossed that you don't get it.   After I had my surgery about 6 months later we went on a family trip to Disney World. Everyone was getting sick....except me ! Don't know if it was luck or something they ate. If I feel getting a little queazy I take a dramamine (I took some when I went on the cruise and it helped) You may want to check with your doctor before you take anything though.
Hope your family feels better.

I personally cannot puke since surgery.  Dry heave, yes.  Others have no problems.

The stomach thing that is going around is nasty nasty nasty and wipes the crap outta you (literally, LOL)

Keep washing those hands now...don't share drinks/glasses/kisses even with those who seem not to be sick (yet)

And keep up the fluids now and if you do get sick keep sipping sipping sipping as much as you can.  Go back to clear liquids if you get sick including things like ice pops.

Good luck!

I always wonder the same thing. I'm a teacher and every year my class gets wiped out from the stomach virus.  I used to get it every year, but havent since surgery....watch- i'll get it now.

Last week I think I had some form of it.  I just get really gassy, wake up throughout the night and am nauseous (sp?) for a day or two.  It's very weird.

Good luck!

I only puke if i eat something that is too hard and that comes right up. The great thing is is that there isn't all that stomach acid with it. But i have gotten a little of that bug that's going around. I got natouis but couldn't throw up. I tried!
