I really would like to start dating.  I've tried some online stuff and then when I get contacted, I back off.  Not sure what the hell this is about.

Go! have fun and if you never talk to him again, oh well. there's a ton of trial and error when you first date after WLS.

I ended up making quite a few good friends but that's all........till I ran across my wonderful man I have now. but it was nice to have that experience of dating and meeting new people.

Go and have fun. If you don't you don't have to go out on a second date.

If I had not finally agreed to going out with Gene (it took quite a few months of his convincing before I did) I'd have missed out on a wonderful, loving, caring, man. And I'd still be single instead of getting ready to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary in Feb

Whoo Hoo! How great is that to be asked. Go with your instincts. If he doesn't do it for you that is cool. Just make sure that is the reason that you don't want to go and that isn't just an excuse to hide. Enjoy yourself no matter your decision trust yourself.
