What cha doing NYE?

Just wondered what everybody was up to for NYE - sometimes it seems like so much pressure to be doing 'something' on that night that you just want to stay home and hide under the covers until it passes!!

This year hubby and I are traveling to friends down in Fenwick for a party - we've been getting together with them and their friends for several years and always, always have a ball, but last year we couldn't make it because my mom was sick, and sadly the year before I was so miserable over my weight and the trials and tribulations with my mother's illnesses that I drank myself into oblivian early and literally blacked out on what happened the whole night - I didn't pass out, but I couldn't remember a thing the next day - that's when I knew I was in big trouble.

So this year I'm looking forward to spending time with our friends again - we always play Pictionary - girls against guys (and the girls always win) - and enjoy some food and drink and the best part is we only have to walk up the stairs to the second floor afterwards and fall into bed!

Hope everyone has a great New Year - and now I'm going to do some 'Mary' reflecting on this past year in my journal - I think she's inspired a lot of us to do that. Thanks, Mary!!

Ok...I have to ask...what is the crystal bowl???  I know I must have missed something at some point, but didn't want to ask...now I HAVE to know LOL

a crystal singing bowl. made out of quartz crystal I have a Root Chakra ( sp) C note bowl. You hit tap it with a malet and then you move it around the outside of the bowl and it vibrates and makes intense sounds. it is used for healing and meditation. google it you will see

I am spending the evening with Norm and Mary and some other people I love very much!!  I hope to make it home before the crack of dawn.  I am soooo ready to rid myself of 2008 and start a brand new year.

I am going out to a party at the catering hall I work at with a bunch of new friends and we are all looking forward to dressing up in our new smaller bodies! We will be dancing and sharing laughs that is for sure! 
It is one of the first times that I am looking forward to going out.

This is a sore subject for me today.  My first child Deidre is a New Years baby.  She will be 23 this year.  Every New Years Eve we have what we call cheese night.  We all hang out together and snack on different kinds of cheeses and crackers and ring in the New Year together and wish Deidre a happy birthday and give her her presents before we go to bed.

This year my husband and son are forced to work NYE and it was only going to be me, deidre and my youngest son here for her.  Work calls me today on my day off and makes it impossible for me to say no to a schedule change.  Now I have to go into work NYE at 9:30PM and spend the entire night at the store putting up sales tags.  I am so angry I could spit fire.  My plans are to take my ipod to work and put an headphones and ignore them all as I work on tags.  I will also work slow as moses so me being there to help...will be NO help at all!

Happy New Year Kathy!

I am one of those poeple that refuses to drive anywhere and prefers to hide under the covers! I just found out that hubby gets out of work early around 6 so hel'' be home around 7. I am going to plan a special dinner just the 2 of us - might make surf and turf then it will just be cuddling on the couch watching TV or movies until bedtime - nothing exciting! just like the rest of my days! lol

NY day we will be going to my Aunt's to visit and I have to sew something for my god daughter. This weekend I'll be organizing my cabinets in the kitchen and putting away the christmas decorations before it snows again!

The only plans I have this year are to be at home and hopefully in bed by 11. With some luck Ms. Addison will be completely asleep and I won't have any worries this yr. The kids have no plans either, so everyone will be home this yr.
